Conditions helped ~

Back pain, musculo-skeletal aches and pains, sports injuries, knees, shoulders, neck, hips, feet & groin problems and other bodily issues which can lead to headaches, anxiety, bloating, constipation and all manner of other unrealised symptons. For children and babies bio-dynamic craniosacral therapy can help balance those little people out and prevent future problems. Excellent for elderly people who need to promote movement in a bid to stave off arthritic problems. Pregnant women, the young and old, little and large…. everyone can be helped. Gary Weir ~

Originally from Auckland, NZ, having worked in the surfing and windsurfing industry his whole life, Gary realised that people needed more than just treatment when injuries happen - they needed to learn to look after themselves through diet and exercise and he wanted to help! The starting place was to become an osteopath himself - 5 years at the British School of Osteopathy provided a Bsc(Hons) degree and the great medical training which Gary then incorporated along with a lifetime of ongoing learning via nutritional studies, yoga, South Pacific and Maori body working therapies, martial arts and rugby coaching. Based in Hove for the past 15 years Gary has helped countless hundreds of people by not only treating them himself, but by encouraging them to help themselves by understanding what they need to do. Teaching people how to breathe properly, gain flexibility and utilise core stability, Gary’s M.O. is to give people the knowledge to help themselves (exercise plans and nutritional advice). Gary is the perfect mix of scientific training, expert treatment, holistic approach and no-mess, honest, inspiring talk. No series of treatments tie-ins sought as standard.*
No expensive x-rays,
No nonsense. Just honestly priced £50 per hour sessions.

*(chronic problems may need a programme of up to 6 treatments and rehabilitation sessions)

This is the reason why we, the richest countries on the planet, are currently in a public health crisis. The last thing that Corporations want is a fit and healthy population of people capable of critical thinking - no profit in that.

A book for our time and anyone questioning what's going on - 'Oneness vs the 1%' by Vandana Shiva. I wholeheartedly ask people to read this and ask: 'Do you wish to give over the responsibility towards your/our collective health and wellbeing to those who seek profit in illness and disease?' We are the 99%, time to harness our collective oneness and our humanity.

I have this book, given to me as a gift. It's a wonderful, comprehensive, nourishing book and I recommend everyone to dip into it from time time. A very grounding read in these times of uncertainty and a poignant reminder about our responsibility towards our own health, the health of our loved ones and the planet.

My book Live Well Live Long is now available on the Kindle store.

“An extraordinary masterpiece … There has never been a book that so clearly, comprehensively and entertainingly tells you how to get to be 100 years old and still be happy and healthy. Get this book and keep it by your bedside. Give a copy to anyone you love and who you would like to share the rest of your life with in good health and humour.” Craig Sams

In these difficult times, the only thing we can build our trust in, nurture, and look after is our own natural immunity. There are many ways that the body can be reawakened to harness the powers of its own innate immunological abilities. We can become resilient and flourish. This natural wisdom is everywhere around us, we just need to tune in.

A simple recipe idea for promoting healthy gut flora. On a recent visit to an excellent vegetarian cafe in NZ, I sampled many versions of fermented foods, such as kale and mushrooms. Delicious, and relatively easy to make - so treat your insides to a detox and promote general well-being.

A while ago I had about 1/4 of a cabbage leftover after making okonomiyaki. I had started reading the blog Penniless Parenting, and one of the things she
