We are friends and work colleagues offering a welcoming space dedicated to Shiatsu. Between us we have a broad diversity of skills and experience, enabling us to effectively support you. Shiatsu can be beneficial for people with a wide range of conditions and is great for increasing our sense of well-being. Within and around all of us, life-energy (or Qi) exists flowing in channels throughout the body. The techniques employed in Shiatsu – using energetic connection and manual techniques can rebalance the flow of this Qi and lead to improved health and wellbeing.

All our students at The Shiatsu College study anatomy.
As part of the Acupressure course we offer an online Holistic Anatomy module, supported by experiential practice in class. The online classroom allows us to support students with accessible, fun ways of learning (using videos/ quizzes etc), minimising class time spent on theory and maximising the time available for hands-on work.
Study Shiatsu.

Here at The Shiatsu College, Year 1 of our three year professional Shiatsu Course is called the 'Holistic Acupressure Certificate', and it can be taken as a stand-alone Certificated course or as the first year of the Professional Shiatsu Practitioner Diploma course.
You will learn how to give safe, competent, deeply relaxing and highly effective basic practical Shiatsu treatments, including the understanding and use of Acupressure points. You’ll be shown a range of self-help techniques to improve your own health and wellbeing – including meridian stretches, breathing, meditation and simple Qigong exercises.
The course also introduces the fascinating world of Shiatsu theory, from its ancient Daoist roots and traditional Chinese medicine through to modern scientific insights into the structure and dynamics of the human body and its energy field.
Maybe this is your year for starting a new course and maybe a new way of living and working. See The Shiatsu College Website for dates of 23/24 enrolment.
Shiatsu College Brighton starts 23rd September.

‘What I love about Shiatsu, is that I benefit both as a receiver and a giver. At both times, I can feel the Ki moving in my body and healing happening. I also love that Shiatsu is for everyone.’

Rebecca Lopez Winter, Year 1 student, Shiatsu College Brighton & London.

Courses begin at all branches of the Shiatsu College in September 2023.
You can train as a professional Shiatsu practitioner (3 year Shiatsu Diploma) or learn Shiatsu and Acupressure to use on family and friends, and for wellbeing sessions (1 year Holistic Acupressure Certificate).
Small friendly classes, experienced staff, full practical and theoretical training.

“Shiatsu somehow gets to parts of your body you didn’t even know needed attention. As if helping scratch an itch, you just can’t get to yourself”.

1 thing I love about shiatsu:
"As a receiver: I feel more ‘me’. Feeling my needs met- even the ones I wasn’t aware of!
As a Practitioner: working in that magical space, where the flow of Ki starts and you just know they’re going to benefit SO MUCH from this. Then seeing their face as they sit up and register the changes."

"One thing I love about Shiatsu is that it meets us exactly where we are - as giver and receiver, and brings us exactly the experience we need, in that moment - whether we were aware of that need beforehand, or not. From spiritual/universal connection and integration, to relief of pain and symptoms, to reconnecting to our emotions, to a sense of purpose and empowerment, to feeling the power of being witnessed and accepted. And sometimes all of these things can happen in the same session."
