Beatitude Sports Injuries & Wellbeing was founded by Debora Hasler in 2007. We specialise in treating sports and exercise related injuries, covering assessment, diagnostics, treatment and rehabilitation, all tailored to individuals’ needs. Our aim is specifically focused on the treatment and prevention of injury, with an emphasis on rehabilitation to optimum levels of functional, occupational and sport specific fitness, regardless of age or ability. We aim to combine physiological and pathological processes and integrate physiotherapy skills to prepare the patient for training, competition and where applicable, work. Treatments are usually very hands on, but in addition where appropriate we utilise electrotherapy equipment such as ultrasound, interferential, and TENS. We are full members of the Society of Sports Therapists. Here at Beatitude we do not only deal with Sports Injuries, but also offer a comprehensive range of Holistic Massage Therapy treatments. For more in depth information regarding all of our services, please visit our website. We are located in the beautiful grade 2 listed building on the corner of Viaduct Road & Ditchling Road. When you sit for extended periods of time, your psoas muscle may become tight. This, in turn, can pull your pelvis forward—which places pressure on your lumbar spinal discs. This additional pressure often results in lower back pain.

To help prevent—or treat—tightness in your psoas muscle, here is a simple stretch you can perform at home or the office:

Save
* Find an area that is carpeted. If carpet is not available, you can place a cloth or towel on the ground beneath you.
* Drop your left knee down beneath you, with your left leg extending away from your body and your toes touching the ground.
* Place your right leg in front of you (with your foot flat on the ground), so that your right leg forms about a 90-degree angle.
* Using strength from your buttock, gently drive your left knee backward and down.
* While doing this, maintain good posture with your shoulders tall and head upright.
* Hold this position for 30 seconds, and then repeat on the opposite leg.
The above stretch can be performed 2 to 3 times per day, and it is helpful to place yourself in front of a mirror to check for good posture.
If you suspect your psoas muscle is the cause of your lower back pain, schedule an appointment. Your health professional can provide a proper diagnosis, which will help you avoid treatments that may make your pain worse.

WE HAVE MOVED
After 4 wonderful years being based it was time for a change.
But don't worry we haven't gone far, just up the road in fact.
We are now based in and their fantastic therapy rooms. Find us at:
5 The Offices | 10 Fleet Street | Brighton | BN1 4ZE
Feedback from our patients so far has been amazing, overwhelmingly loving the new location.
Even better you can park for FREE for up to 90 minutes in Sainsburys underground car park (we are located just behind Sainsburys in the pedestrianised area).
We'd like to take this opportunity to thank everyone at FitnessHub for making us feel so welcome over the last 4 years. We wish them every success in their new expanded gym space.
In the mean time if you would like to book an appointment DM us or call 07890 529969.
We look forward to seeing you soon.
