My favourite affirmation. We know birth isn’t predictable. This is going to go against most doulas approach to birth but this is my approach. I understand the dream birth is the main goal whether that is a homebirth in water or a planned caesarean but sometimes we need to prepare for every eventuality. Without this we can be left with the grief of a birth we didn’t have, we can repeat the cycle of birth trauma. By preparing for every birth you can remain in control, and feel empowered and positive of your birth outcome
