The flu vaccine helps protect against flu, which can be a serious or life-threatening illness. It’s offered on the NHS every year in autumn or early winter to people at higher risk of getting seriously ill from flu. If you have not had yours but have been invited please contact reception to book in.

If you are currently taking oral medication for contraception, you will now be referred to the pharmacy to have your annual pill check and for any repeat prescriptions. Local pharmacies are now able to start patients on the contraceptive pill, complete annual contraceptive checks and issue prescriptions for patients aged 16-60 years old.

When this medication is requested, you will be referred to your local pharmacy who will contact you and discuss and issue medication. If there any queries they will contact us. Alternatively, you can visit your local pharmacy without contacting us and request the medication.

For patients who are taking the contraceptive pill for other reasons or who are not aged 16-60 years old, you can continue to request prescriptions at the surgery.

We have again today received our fruit delivery from The Banana Boat (Totterdown) in connection with Operation Community Hamper.

This fruit is free for all of our patients, please come in and help yourself.
