Steve West entertained us again this afternoon and is becoming a favourite with residents!

His interactive and lively show is enjoyed by all, getting us all singing and dancing along.

We even had a few Xmas numbers today!

Many thanks again to our volunteers, Carol and Kay for all their fantastic hard work creating, and then giving up their time to sell the goods at the local craft fayres.

All money raised goes to benefit our residents so we are all extremely grateful.

The last one for this year is at Hanham on the 29th November, so pop along if you can, Carol and Kay would love to see you there!

Christmas Poinsettia was the theme of Watercolour Wednesday this week. The results were really pretty, with some residents painting two!

Lots going on at Collingwood this afternoon, quizzes, darts, scrabble and painting!

Also, Les finished his puzzle so a productive afternoon!

Today, students from Bath College came in to gain experience at the home.
After a tour, the girls played a game of dominoes with Barbara and then snakes and ladders.
Barbara enjoyed their company and the competitive nature of the games but most of all WINNING! 🏆

Today, we’ve had a lovely visit from Tia the Pomeranian, Rocky the Bearded Dragon, Princess who is a Rag Doll/Persian cat and Bryan the Giant African land Snail! 🐌
Residents enjoyed stroking, cuddling and holding all the creatures as well as learning about their temperament and care needs.
It was lovely to see residents happy and engaged with the various creatures and also challenging themselves to touch the ones they weren’t initially sure of!

Another lovely walk with Jean this afternoon. We managed to walk up and down the road four times, enjoying the mild weather and a good chin wag!

Anton entertained us again this afternoon with some lively tunes.

As it had been Remembrance Day this week, he played wartime songs with residents joining in and singing along to ‘We’ll meet again’ and ‘It’s a long way to Tipperary.’

We’re looking forward to his next visit when Christmas songs will be on his performance list! 🤶

We finished the afternoon with a rousing game of balloon tennis. 🎈

This always has everyone smiling and laughing as well as being excellent exercise too! 😄
