PART TIME Optical receptionist role at Cotham Opticians.
1 day per week plus holiday cover including 2 Saturdays per month.
The Optical Receptionist is responsible for delivering excellent patient care and creating a welcoming, comfortable experience for all patients visiting the practice.
Key Responsibilities
Welcome patients and visitors professionally and warmly.
Manage phone calls and emails, directing enquiries appropriately.
Schedule appointments and maintain an accurate, efficient practice diary.
Update and maintain patient records in line with data protection requirements.
Handle payments and operate the cash register accurately.
Keep the reception area clean, tidy, and professional.
Support opticians and the wider team with administrative and patient-facing tasks.
Assist with general practice duties such as booking appointments, greeting patients, and taking payments.
Skills, Knowledge & Experience
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Commitment to excellent customer service.
Team player with good organisational skills and attention to detail.
Friendly, approachable, and professional.
Ability to maintain confidentiality.
Basic computer literacy and willingness to learn new systems.
Interest in optical technology and the optical industry.

An extensive amount of time is dedicated to the design process, which includes an initial period of research and development to ensure the highest quality. The entire process, from initial concept to final production, takes between ten and twelve months.
