NEW 2025 CPR GUIDELINES ANNOUNCED! 🇬🇧
The Resuscitation Council UK has released the 2025 CPR & First Aid Guidelines, bringing some of the biggest updates in years — all aimed at saving more lives and boosting public confidence in emergencies.
❤️ What’s new?
• CPR training from age 4–6 to build a more confident, lifesaving generation.
• Hands‑only CPR reinforced as the go‑to method for untrained bystanders — simple, effective, and easier than ever.
• Clearer guidance on recognising cardiac arrest — if someone is unresponsive and not breathing normally, start CPR immediately.
• Stronger emphasis on early defibrillation using public AEDs. Send someone to grab one as soon as cardiac arrest is suspected.
• Updated paediatric CPR, including 5 rescue breaths first and a new infant CPR technique.
These changes will roll out fully across training from January 2026, but the message is clear right now:
👉 Any CPR is better than none. Don’t hesitate — act.
