BDP Creative Communities in 2025

What an amazing year it has been for Creative Communities! From launching our brand new branding and website, to partnering with Trinity Centre and playing on stage with Honeyfeet , there have been so many highlights.

We would like to say a massive thank you...

To the over 100 people who have attended one of our groups this year

A huge thank you to Redland Wind Band who voted to donate the proceeds of their Christmas Raffle to Bristol Recovery Orchestra 🎶

Sophie, Zoe and Hamilton were invited to speak at last Saturday's concert and got to enjoy a brilliant concert of festive favourites and sing a longs as a bonus.

Always a privilege to speak to the wider community about what we do - thank you to Redland Wind Band for the opportunity!

Today marks the *xWorkers which is a day of remembrance. We take this time to reflect on s*x workers (sworkers) who have lost their lives to violence.

❤️☂️ Many sworkers lives are placed on a precarious intersection where criminalisation, misogyny and socioeconomic disparity all meet.

❤️☂️ Today, we'll explore this intersection in solidarity with sworkers and discuss how co-production of strategies and services are essential moving forward.

Today's singing workshop at Emerge🎶

Rising Voices led a workshop and a festive sing at Emerge's weekly meeting this Monday, hosted by the amazing team at The Salvation Army on Hassell Drive.

With just 7 of us, we sang three part harmony songs to bring hope and light during what can be a tricky time for some of us. And most memorably, got the room up on their feet shaking percussion along to Jingle Bells.

Thank you to Rosie and Kim from the Salvation Army for hosting us and sharing a delicious breakfast with us, to the residents of Emerge for singing with us, and to the 7 brave Rising Voices members who sang a full set with a third of our usual numbers!
