Atkinson’s Story

Atkinson’s, situated in trendy Clifton Village, was established in 1979 and is one of Bristol’s longest established beauty spas. Atkinson’s has also managed to perfect their very own kind of urban beauty treatments the likes of which are usually only found in London.

Lyn Atkinson started her beauty journey by taking her first job with the very famous Leonard of Mayfair in his Upper Grosvenor Street salon. This was at a very busy and exciting time especially as both John Frieda and Nicky Clarke along with many other talented people had been on the team. The experience gained working with high expectation clients was a wonderful eye opening encounter that would help shape what would eventually become Atkinson’s Spa. Over the years Lyn has won many an accolade which has allowed her to train with amazing internationally acclaimed teachers including Micheline Arcier, London and Paris’s most famous Aromatherapist, Jacques Courtin, the founder of Clarins Paris and Solange Dessimoulie the creator of De Cleor. All these inspiring people have allowed lyn to become a very astute curator of therapies for her Salon.

These days, Atkinson’s acknowledges an immense debt of gratitude owed to their life long clients, along with the wonderful work done by their many many therapists over the years to enhance both clients lives and the reputation of their work.

An appointment at Atkinson’s Spa is an exclusive and intimate experience as they prefer to be smaller rather than big allowing an ultimate bespoke and personalised approach to everything they do.
