A Judy of all Trades

A Judy of all Trades Small-scale odd jobs around the home or small business. Painting, Small Gardening jobs, Small DIY jo I am a very friendly, honest and reliable person.

The name of my business is hopefully seen as a bit of fun and memorable, as I obviously can’t actually do “all trades” ! Before going it alone, I worked for a wide range of charities and the NHS. I have over 30 yrs experience of working in various roles with disabled people, people with dementia, older people, people with mental health issues and people with learning difficulties. In a previous job I set up and ran a project and trained and managed volunteers to help people who hoard to de-clutter. I also ran a woodworking department for disabled adults (and older people) at a day centre in Weston super Mare for about 4 years. I have various City & Guilds qualifications and a Certificate in the use of Woodworking Machinery. My DBS (Used to be called a CRB) is and always has been completely clean. I have public liability insurance.

“ Judy did a great job renovating an old reclaimed table and 3 chairs. The table top used to be really sticky with old varnish peeling off. Judy took a huge amount of care sanding back all of the wood on the table and chairs and recoated the varnish and paint. It looks superb in the kitchen and really brought out the natural beauty of the wood. Great job Judy, 100% recommended. Regards Julie Cole “

Unfortunately we don't seem to be able to work out anymore how customers can put reviews on here themselves. So my customer emailed me this review of the work I did on her kitchen table and chairs.

One of my elderly customers in South Bristol, would really love someone to read to her. I’ve looked online but I can’t find any organisation that has volunteers who do this. She knows about audio books but she wants the company of a person to read to her. If anyone has any ideas or knows anyone who might be willing to do this please let me know - thank you.
