Are you aged 55–74 and have ever smoked?

If so, you may be eligible for a free NHS lung check. This check helps make sure your lungs are healthy and working well.

If you qualify, you’ll be invited to take part in a telephone assessment, where you’ll be asked a few questions about your health and smoking history. Depending on the results, you may then be invited to attend an in-person lung check.

This Cervical Screening Awareness Week, we’re sharing different experiences from women and other people with a cervix: screening after giving birth, after menopause, after transitioning, after receiving the first invitation, and after being refused it altogether. We’ll also be sharing information, tips and support on how to make attending your screening a little bit easier.
