Libby Elm Yoga

Libby Elm Yoga Libby is a holistic yoga facilitator and women's circle holder with a passion for cyclical and seasonal living, women's work and embodied movement.

My journey with yoga began over 10 years ago when I was re-diagnosed with Arthritis in my knee and encouraged to practice Yoga as a way of supporting my condition. I fell in love with the practice, and a few years later, in 2016 at the age of 19, I found myself eagerly running off to India to complete my first 200hr training. Since then I have gone on to study and train with some incredible teachers, exploring a range of traditions, philosophies and styles of practice and am falling more in love with the practice of Yoga every day. I have always been curious about nature and the body and how the two work in harmony, how we can use our practices to dive deeper into this; how we respond to the change of seasons, the cycles of life and the elements as a whole.

My approach to teaching is playful and intuitive, an invitation to connect and drop in to yourself, an exploration of the sweet balance between softness and strength. We will explore creativity through fluid and explorative movements, creative transitions, breathwork and meditation.

It is my calling to share the practice of Yoga, and I am incredibly passionate about working with and empowering women, this led me to complete my pre & post natal yoga training with Sally Parkes.

I truly believe that movement is medicine and I can't wait to share it with you!

A busy busy week of trainings over here ✨

I spent the weekend in Worthing with for a course on Yoga for Menopause. Being the youngest on the training, and with this stage of my life not for a while, there was a few questions of ‘why am I here’. Most of my work is for women, my yoga classes are open and welcoming of all but my demographic is predominantly female. I run women’s circles and hold space for women. This work feels so important to meet women where they’re at, in all stages of life and to have that knowledge and understanding to support. I learnt so much about the power and magic (although I’m aware it doesn’t feel like that!!!) of the female body and these movements and journeys our bodies go through. I met some wonderful people (as I always do with Sally’s trainings) and I’m so excited to weave this new knowledge into my classes and circles ⭕️

Thursday I spent with for a Rejuvenating Facial Massage Course which was incredible. I’m really drawn to learning and practicing massage and this felt like the perfect way to dip my toe in and learn something new and to share ✨ I’ll be offering some free treatments while I practice and explore this more - get in touch if you want a free face squish!!

Coming Up:
✨ Samhain Sister Circle - 26th October
✨ Winter Flow & Restore - more details coming soon…

As the sticky, hot summer days draw in, and a golden hue engulfs our days, we move towards the halfway point between the Summer Solstice and the Autumn Equinox; the Celtic festival of Lughnasadh, or Lammas, marking the beginning of the harvest season.

Lughnasadh traditionally incorporated large gatherings, spiritual ceremonies and customs, great feasts, athletic contests, matchmaking and rituals like pilgrimages up tall mountains and hilltops and visiting holy wells and sacred springs and is embodied with themes of abundance, gratitude, renewal, giving and sharing in feasts.

The name Lughnasadh is often interpreted as “the feast of the first fruits” and acts as an important reminder within the wheel of the year to acknowledge the abundant nature of the Earth.

Join me for a Summer circle as we welcome, embody and connect to not only this time of year, but to the earth, to ourselves, our bodies and other women. In community. A space for women to come together in a sacred circle, created with the intention of allowing women to be seen, heard, held, to feel safe, connected and supported through life and its journeys...

These circles and workshops are a space to gather, connect and create with other like-minded souls. They are a space to connect with nature and the wise women of our ancestry. Exploring essential oils, plants, herbs and natural healing. A collaborative experience where we all share ideas, thoughts and stories whilst learning and exploring together.

What to expect;
∆ Intuitive Movement
∆ Meditation
∆ Journaling
∆ Sharing Circle (optional)
∆ Earth Witch Creations (herbal medicine bundle)

Saturday 3rd August | 3-5pm at in Easton.

Our next seasonal circle is live ❤️‍🔥

Join us to gather and celebrate the Beltane marking the beginning of Summer on Saturday 4th May.

Beltane, one of the four main Celtic Festival in the year and saw communities coming together to celebrate the return of Summer. Beltane, which translates as ‘bright fire’ has always had fire at the heart of its rituals, bonfires for communing and dancing round, seen as a purifier and healer

Beltane is a celebration honoring nature’s incredibly fertile energy at this time of year. Nature has an amazing ability to reproduce itself, and in powerful way and the importance of this power that nature hols its key to Beltane. Earth is bursting with fertile energy, is a powerful time to acknowledge & celebrate the fertility inherent in all life ❤️‍🔥

Join us on Saturday 4th May at 2pm at for an afternoon of community, creation and connection ❤️‍🔥🌷

Beautiful afternoon with Milestones Trust

We've started running free monthly yoga sessions open to everyone at - staff, volunteers, Trustees and people we support. It was great to see everyone at today's all-ability class.

A big thanks to our fantastic instructor Libby Libby Elm Yoga

My Story

Libby's teaching style is playful and intuitive, and students are encouraged to move at their own pace, finding that sweet balance of softness and strength. Expect classes to be fluid and explorative, delving deep into the body and the breath with an ever evolving element as we tune into the seasons, weather and nature. Classes are accompanied by thoughtfully curated playlists, scents and gentle, consensual adjustments.

Head over here to check out her weekly classes.

Libby's Yoga journey began back when she was about 15. She was diagnosed with Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis in her knee and as a result was very limited to physical activities and sport. She was encouraged to try Yoga, and so the love affair began.

The relationship with Yoga was very much on-again, off-again. It was only when she was about 18 that she really got back into Yoga. Stuck in a rut about what to do with her life, she decided to follow her on-again-off-again relationship and turn it into a full on relationship.
