For 60 years, Dycem has set the standard in floor-level contamination control. 6️⃣0️⃣

Our patented polymeric formula is engineered to capture and retain contamination from shoes and wheels, delivering proven performance for every critical and controlled environment.

When it matters most, trust the original ✅

🔄 3 + years lifespan = Less plastic waste in landfills
♻️ Washable & reusable = No more daily disposables
🌱 Sustainably manufactured = Certified to global environmental standards

In controlled environments every choice impacts cleanliness compliance and sustainability. The products we use every day — whether in cleanrooms labs or production areas — shouldn’t just be effective; they should also minimise waste and environmental impact.

That’s where Dycem steps in. Unlike disposable contamination control methods sticky mats produce hundreds of pounds of plastic waste each facility each year. By switching to Dycem’s advanced flooring solution you’re improving contamination control and making a responsible choice for the planet.

It’s time to step up sustainability without compromising performance.

Sometimes the most important design feature is the one you barely notice.

Dycem contamination control flooring is only 3 mm thick.

That low profile means it integrates easily into existing environments without creating trip hazards, raised edges, or interruptions to foot and wheeled traffic.

Carts, pallet jacks, and forklifts move smoothly across the surface while Dycem continues to capture contamination from shoes and wheels.

Thin enough to disappear into the floor. And in environments with nora® flooring, Dycem can also be inlaid directly into the floor for a integrated finish.

Engineered to keep contaminants from moving with you.

Contamination in controlled environments often starts at the floor.

New research examined how polymeric mats placed at the entrance of controlled environments impact particle levels and deposition inside the room.

For facilities supporting semiconductor manufacturing and advanced computing infrastructure, managing particles introduced by personnel traffic is critical.

It starts at the entrance.

One of the cleanest ways to install contamination control flooring is to integrate it directly into the floor design.

When facilities use nora® flooring by Interface, Dycem can be inlaid directly into the flooring surface, creating a flush installation that allows the floor to remain monolithic.

This approach maintains the integrity of the flooring system while adding contamination control exactly where it is needed.

The result:
• No raised edges
• Smooth movement for carts and equipment
• A monolithic floor surface

Contamination control that becomes part of the floor itself.

Next week the Dycem team will be attending two key cleanroom industry events taking place at the same time across Europe. 🌍

You can find us at Contamin@Lyon in France and Lounges Cleanroom Processes in Germany. Both events bring together professionals from across the cleanroom and contamination control industries to share knowledge, innovations, and best practices.

Our team will be present at both, ready to connect with attendees and discuss how Dycem helps reduce contamination transfer from shoes and wheels before it reaches critical environments.

If you are attending either event, come and say hello. We would love to catch up and talk contamination control. 👋

Welcome to the team, Jean-Paul!

We’re excited to welcome Jean-Paul Mandeville to Dycem Contamination Control.

Jean-Paul is an experienced operations and project professional who recently earned his PMP (Project Management Professional) certification in November 2025. He has successfully onboarded multiple federal and commercial enterprise customers, helping organizations implement structured solutions and keep projects moving forward.

Outside of work, Jean-Paul is a big music fan, so if you need an album recommendation or someone to talk concerts with, he’s your guy.

Welcome to the team, JP! 🎧

Where should Dycem be installed?

One of the most common mistakes facilities make is placing contamination control only INSIDE critical areas.

By the time someone reaches the clean space, contamination has already traveled with them.

Effective contamination control starts at entry and transition points where foot and wheeled traffic move between zones.

That means looking closely at areas like:
• Main entrances to controlled environments
• Gowning and change rooms
• Transition corridors
• Material transfer points
• High-traffic pathways leading into critical spaces

Dycem works by removing contamination through multiple steps and wheel rotations, allowing particles to be captured before they enter sensitive environments.

This is why placement and pathway design matter just as much as the product itself.

Contamination control starts at the source.

In the 1960s, our founder David Cecil Mills discovered a polymer that could hold photographic film perfectly still under a microscope.

That discovery turned into something bigger.

By 1966, Dycem was founded, and the same high-tack polymer that stabilized film would eventually help control contamination in some of the world’s most critical environments.

From laboratories and pharmaceutical facilities to food production and data centers, Dycem products help control contamination carried on foot and wheeled traffic.

60 years later, the mission remains the same: Protect critical environments from the floor up.

We all have to start somewhere!

Long before the strategy calls, site surveys, forecasts, and follow ups, we were just kids with big personalities and even bigger expressions.

Thank you to the team members who were good sports and shared their baby photos so we could have a little fun!

Join Dycem at MIT tomorrow for the BVS Biotech Vendor Product Show!

Chat with Danae Crumb your local Dycem Contamination Control Specialist, and learn more about floor-level contamination control in biotech and research environments.

Stop by to discuss how controlling contamination at entry points can support cleaner labs, protect sensitive processes, and reduce downstream risk. Samples, literature and socks will be available, and lunch will be served to all attendees.

We’re at ISPE CASA today 👋

If you’re at the show, stop by booth #338 and see Alun, Ale, and Morgan at the Dycem table. They’re talking floor-level contamination control, cleanroom best practices, and smarter alternatives to sticky mats.

And yes… the socks are here. 🧦

Come grab a pair and let’s talk about keeping your cleanroom cleaner at the floor level!
