Day 74 - Trying to launch an Amazon best selling book

Sometimes it's just about getting my book in front of more people. When more people know about it, they buy it. I know that sounds obvious but it's just getting the publicity that's the tough bit!

Is the low FODMAP diet helping your gut… or making things worse?

I’m a big fan of using FODMAP restriction in certain cases of IBS. But, there is some truth to what’s said about the diet not being good for the gut. It’s an IBS diet that works well, but only when it’s used as a short-term process. A lot of people get stuck in restriction mode
And over time that can lead to:

➡️ Less support for your gut bacteria
➡️ Reduced gut diversity
➡️ Potential nutrient gaps
➡️ More fear around food
➡️ A diet that keeps shrinking

No-one should be low FODMAP forever.
If you’ve been low FODMAP for a while and still don’t feel good, this episode will help you understand why this might be the case.

🎧 Listen to episode 119 on INSIDE KNOWLEDGE FOR PEOPLE WITH IBS:

“Is the low FODMAP diet ruining your gut health?”
I break down what’s actually happening in your gut

✅️ And how to use the diet in a way that supports your long-term health

I spent the weekend dancing for St Patrick's Day, managed to do the same dance with each child at two different shows so I've mixed them together.

This is the one week a year where our niche hobby of Irish dance is in demand!

If you bloat every time you go healthy you’re doing it wrong. Some people with IBS get bloated when they eat more fibre, but you might be focussing on the WRONG TYPES of fibre, leaving you fed up, nauseous and wishing you’d stuck to chicken and rice for another meal.

Comment FIBRE and I’ll send you my download for how to slowly introduce fibre to your diet when you have IBS.

Its story time for World Book Day! 📒 Hear how Mandy managed to resolve her frequent watery stools and alternating constipation.

Each chapter of INSIDE KNOWLEDGE FOR PEOPLE WITH IBS AND SIBO starts with a small overview of a person I've worked with and what they struggled with.
I then go into details about why this could be happening, support suggestions and ideas for you to implement at home.
The chapter finishes a summary of the result the person got.

You will find, if you read the book, is that some clients don't finish feeling 100% better. This is reality.

I wanted to share stories in this book that give you realistic hope for better digestion, for improvements in eating and diets.

But I'm not going to promise that everything will be completely resolved for every individual.

What you will get is practical strategies for managing bloating, pain, diarrhoea, constipation and smelly gas. I give you advice on eating and diets for IBS as well.

Get your copy of my book on Amazon - Inside Knowledge for people with IBS and SIBO- £8.99 paperback or £4.49 Kindle.

Our Story

I bet you’ve probably wondered if you’ve got IBS at some point

In truth, for most people, the formal diagnosis doesn’t really matter… What really is important, is being able to identify the root cause of your symptoms so you can manage them without medication, and ultimately alleviate them.

I’m Anna Mapson. I’m a nutritionist who specialises in all things ‘digestive health’ and I help people get rid of their IBS symptoms.

But…I’m 100% not about ‘one size fits all’. I don’t believe is that everyone with typical IBS symptoms should be cutting things out of their diets and following low FODMAP plans.
