Afternoon Fun and Agility Games at Silver Trees! 🎈

​We have had a fantastic afternoon keeping active and having a laugh with some brilliant agility games! It was wonderful to see everyone getting involved and showing off their skills. 🌟

​Our residents took part in:
- ​The Fishing Game: Hooking bean bags with great precision! 🎣
- ​Egg and Spoon Race: A classic test of balance and steady hands. 🥚🥄
- ​Balloon Volleyball: Keeping the energy high and the balloons flying! 🎈🏐

​There were plenty of smiles, a bit of friendly competition, and lots of cheering. Well done to everyone who joined in! 👏✨

This morning, our residents enjoyed watching “An Easter Story” documentary 🐣🌷

We spent some time learning all about how Easter came to be the holiday we know and celebrate today. It sparked some lovely conversations, shared memories, and reflections on traditions over the years.

​We had a very special (and fluffy!) visitor at Silver Trees today! The Easter Bunny hopped by to spread some seasonal cheer and deliver delicious Easter eggs. 🍫✨

​A massive thank you to Suhas and Julio, who did a fantastic job playing our resident bunnies. You both brought so many smiles and laughs to the home today! 🐇🌷

Happy Easter from Silver Trees! 🐣✨

​We’ve had a wonderful morning here at Silver Trees celebrating Easter Sunday! 🌸 There was a lovely atmosphere in the lounge as we gathered together to watch the Easter Church service on the television. 📺🙏 It was a beautiful way to reflect on the season and share in some traditional hymns. 🎶🌷

Recent Successes at Silver Trees 🧩🌸

​We have had some brilliant achievements across the home recently that we wanted to share with everyone. Here is a quick update on what our residents have been up to:

- ​Activities Room Jigsaw: The jigsaw in the activities room is now finished. It was a great team effort, with several residents and staff members working together to get the final pieces in place.
- ​New Displays: If you are heading to the upstairs dining room, do take a look at the wall. We have put up the displays from our recent Happiness Day and Cherry Blossom Day activities.
- ​Clare’s Jigsaws: A special mention to Clare, who has been very busy in her room. She has successfully completed three beautiful jigsaws on her own.

​We’ve had a wonderful afternoon here at Silver Trees getting into the festive spirit! Our residents have been busy showcasing their artistic talents by painting some beautiful, vibrant Easter eggs. 🖌️✨

​From bright patterns to classic spring colours, each egg is a unique masterpiece. It was a lovely way to spend the afternoon together, sharing stories and enjoying some creative fun. 🌸🥚

​To make the afternoon even sweeter, we also enjoyed tucking into the delicious biscuits we baked together this morning! 🍪☕️

This morning our lovely residents enjoyed getting creative in the kitchen as we made delicious Easter biscuits for Good Friday 🐣💛

There was lots of mixing, kneading, and of course plenty of smiles along the way! It’s always wonderful to see everyone come together and enjoy these special seasonal activities.

This afternoon we enjoyed a wonderful poetry and music session with Michael Loader. 🎶📖

Residents had great fun joining in with singing well-known tunes, adding their own words and plenty of jokes along the way! There was also the chance to learn some poetry and get creative by making sound effects to bring stories to life.

The room was filled with laughter throughout – it truly was a hilarious and uplifting afternoon enjoyed by all! 😊

This morning we enjoyed a lovely tea and coffee gathering, where residents came together to chat and share their thoughts on a range of topics. ☕✨

A highlight of the morning was discussing the exciting launch of Artemis II and its journey around the moon. We watched parts of the live stream together and had some wonderful conversations about what it might feel like to travel into space.

To add to the experience, we also watched a fascinating video of an astronaut brushing their teeth in space, which sparked plenty of curiosity and laughter!

A relaxed and engaging morning enjoyed by all. 💬🌙

We were delighted to welcome members of Christ Church into our home today for a lovely service ahead of the Easter weekend. 🌸

Residents really enjoyed the time spent together, sharing prayers, hymns, and reflection as we prepare for this special time of year. It was a wonderful opportunity for everyone to come together and celebrate in such a warm and meaningful way.

A big thank you to everyone from Christ Church for their visit — we truly appreciate your continued support and kindness. 💛
