REIKI SHARE HEALING CIRCLE - ONLY £10

Calling all Learn Reiki people!

Healers, self-healers, students, families & friends to come together to share a circle, intentions, stories, personal gifts, and healing.

Taking inspiration from our students, we feel drawn to provide an affordable, accessible space to share healing energy.

In particular, we were drawn to the traditional reiki share, where participants come together as equals to share meditations, poems, stories, prayers & gifts in a talking circle before sharing healing.

We have booked six Saturdays from now until next spring at a beautiful space in St Werburghs.

Huge congratulations & respect to Sam Button, whose vision at the start of her Reiki Master course in 2023 was to create a healing centre giving free treatments to those in need.

At the time, Sam had nothing but her vision & determination, and no way to make it happen.

But in only 2½ years, Sam has manifested this dream into reality. The Phoenix Healing Community, co-founded by Sam & Sue, is a CIC offering free healing treatments to those in financial need.

Their vision is to create a healing community by bringing together a core group of like minded people, working together to develop, run & work within the project, as equals. The healing community is collaborative, based around the open sharing of work, vision & ideas for the benefit of others, and the mutual help & support of one another.

At the moment, they have started by working with homeless people at Julian House hostel in Bath, and those with lived experience of mental health challenges, addiction & social isolation at The Haven grassroots community land project in Bristol.

THE WALLOW

Let go & fall like a little waterfall

A Semi-Poetic Reimagining of a quite Magical Concept

To Wallow you know, has certain connotations ~ self-pity by the glass, like ritual libations

For me though of late; I’ve enjoyed this brief wander; rethinking, reimagining to ensure we don’t squander…

The restorative hugs the Wallow can offer~ when in need of a break from advice ringing hollow

As best as I’m able, I’ll try to illuminate, the healing powers of the Wallow hoping they’ll germinate;

The Wallow you’ll see provides a low lit cocoon, space to stretch out though, unlike a womb

In the Wallow’s warm glow, you’ll find if you look, your Agency strong, very much on the go

There’s Sovereignty here, though yes, it may lurk, but we initiate the Wallow and decide when we end it’s work

Here; happily alone (and of my own choosing) ~ I’ll console, forgive and give me these gifts

But let’s not forget what the Wallow foretells;

Come the time, Once we’re ready shrug it off ~ stride forth again fine!

It’s important that bit, I’ll share with you now ~ Much less the blows you can take but what you allow

Because the Wallow is there when disasters cascade, when things go awry or just when we’re afraid

Though not simply a reflex of mammalian design which quivers our body, contorting the spine

We’re taught that such things are beyond all control, leaving us jellied, inverted and rather exposed

To Wallow is our will, defiant and heady ~ It says; “yes", Dear friend “that’s quite enough already!”

Our fighting, Our flighting, Our fawning & freezing, Damn helpful says Darwin ~ just not that appealing

So, Wallow my friend; it’s our Spiritual Duvet! ~ to pull over one’s head whilst the sky is all Doomy

We can rest & repair in our own comfy lair ~ safe from the sad fog through which runs that Black Dog.

It’s a safe reservation for a Soul’s hibernation, not the deafening collapse of survival skills lapsed!

Self-blame, recrimination are not welcome to linger….

…….for in the Wallow’s low light on my wellbeing I’ll tinker. ❤️

Stress does not just live in the mind. It quietly settles into the body. It rests in the tight jaw that holds back words. It sits in the shoulders that carry responsibilities no one sees. It lingers in the chest where grief and love have both left their marks. It twists gently in the stomach when fear and worry go unspoken. The body remembers everything even when the mind tries to move on.

Every headache can be a story of overthinking.

Every shallow breath can be a sign of sadness that never had space to be felt. Every stiff neck can whisper how long you have been holding yourself together. Nothing is random. The body speaks in sensations when the heart has been silent for too long.

Healing is not about forcing yourself to be strong. It is about listening. It is about softening your shoulders. It is about breathing deeply into places that feel tight. It is about allowing emotions to move instead of storing them. When you stretch, when you breathe, when you gently scan your body with awareness, you are telling yourself that your feelings are safe to exist.

Your body is not working against you. It is protecting you. And the moment you begin to care for it with patience and compassion, it begins to release what it has been carrying for you all along. ❤️

She spent three years learning Reiki, and is a fully qualified adult teacher (PGCE). She has a one year clinic-based International Reiki Practitioner Diploma (VTCT), and spent two years training to be a Reiki Master.

The Anna Rose Reiki School trains Learn Reiki Level 2 Professional Practitioners, and Level 3 Reiki Master Teachers on a unique one year chakra based self-development course.
