Following the international IT fault that impacted EMIS (our clinical computer system), we can now confirm that the system is back up and running. Please be aware that, due to the earlier outage, wait times may be slightly longer than usual today as we work through any backlogs. Dear patients, unfortunately there is a national issue with EMIS Web - our clinical computer system. This will impact our ability to book/consult with patients. We shall update you once we hear further. We apologise for the disruption and thank you for your understanding. Ask My GP remains unaffected, so please continue to use this for requests. Hello 👋 Dr Roys here taking a minute to report on our last few days at Concord Medical Centre which has been JAB-CENTRAL!

Over 1,040 of you came in for your flu/COVID vaccines (including Saturday) which was phenomenal - great to see so many topping up their protection for the winter ahead. On top of that, our team delivered over 900 clinician and 685 nurse appointments, too.

A big thing you might notice this week if you're already signed up for online services with us, either through the NHS App or Patient Access, is your GP health record. From tomorrow, you'll be able to see data about your consultations, documents/letters, test results there.

If you're not signed up for online services yet but want access to your GP health record, you'll be able to see data from the date you sign up.

Any general questions about this, pop them below and Kara/Henry will try and get through them. Send any individual queries through on askmyGP as normal. I've also popped a video link about the GP health record and using the NHS App in the comments if it's useful ⬇️

Hi everyone, Dr Arshad here for a change this week with a massive thank you first to the 1,300 patients who took part in our research projects last year.

Thanks to you, we've only gone and become a double award-winning research practice! Really pleased to have been able to help you and help so many other patients too through the projects so I'm smiling ear to ear right now!

The Concord team has been working hard to get through your requests once again last week. Over 98% of all patient requests made by phone or askmyGP were taken care of within seven days and the team delivered over a whopping 1,300 appointments.

And lastly, I understand there have been some questions recently about the consultation type split amongst doctors at Concord. I've checked these internally and the past three months have shown that 2 in 5 patients have chosen face-to-face consultations. I hasten to add consultation type is always down to patient choice as that's what you've overwhelmingly told us you want from our team. I hope that's helpful.

Another very busy week last week for the Concord team. The start of September is always busy as we see demand increase from patients who have had to put off seeking care due to caring duties over the summer, and we gear up for flu jab season.

'Freshers' flu' and other respiratory illnesses and tummy upsets are also very common this month, especially for youngsters back at school and mixing again.
