I thought I'd take some time to share who I am and where my journey with Yoga and Yoga Massage began.....
I started going to yoga classes when I was 24. I fell asleep in the very first class and did not wake until people were leaving!!
I had an accident in that year and was injured for some months. As soon as I was able to, I practiced yoga, a lot! It helped strengthen me, mentally, physically and emotionally! It helped bring me back from a rather broken version of my self.
I continued with yoga on and off for years, dipping in and out when I needed or wanted it, or when it presented it's self.
Later in life at age 29 I had an awakening to my relationship with alcohol and I became sober, it was not serving me well you see. An emptyness and another whole load of emotions arose through becoming sober, I needed to channel it. I tried some things, one of the things I did was a 200hr Yoga teacher training course.
It was never my intention to become a teacher even, I simply wanted to move forward in a direction that felt good and balanced and healthy. I did the training over a year in Bristol and in an Ashram in West Wales. It changed my life. I shall be forever grateful for my relationship with Yoga.
I actually began teaching and taught for three years every week. I did some extra snippets of training here and there also. Somewhere along this journey I fell in love with Aerial hoop, followed by Aerial Yoga. It was then that I paused my Yoga teaching and threw my self into all things upside down!
Yoga remained in my life, I practiced but did not offer classes.
In 2022 I did more training, a further 100hrs with 'Yoga by Nature' and added more strings to my Yoga bow.
In 2023 I did a course with AYM Institute in Ayurvedic Yoga Massage. I had done a taster course some years before and felt it was time to delve deeper. I loved it!
I have since been building a Yoga and Massage business, offering both Ayurvedic Yoga Massage and running Yoga classes/workshops too. I like to work with the elements and nature and the natural seasonal cycle.
Now you can better put a face/story to the name.
Much love✨💛🧡🩷
