Very pleased to have been able to contribute to this book. My job was to find out more about the people who had donated money, furniture, plaques etc to the church.

At this time every year, I am often asked to do military research. This year I was asked to research the life and service history of a man who was killed in World War 2 and whose name was on a war memorial in a Somerset village and no one knew much about him. It was a privilege to find out details about Wing Commander Ashley Duke Jackson and his story was told in this morning's service at St Leonard's Church, Shipham.

Fantastic opening episode of the new series Who Do You Think You Are? It was one of the best episodes of the show I have ever seen. It was interesting, moving and completely absorbing. And Daniel Radcliffe reacted wonderfully to all the information he was shown. 5 stars!!

I have really enjoyed watching the new genealogy programme on C4 called My Family Secrets Revealed. It was very well put together and covered lots of different types of questions, mysteries, brick walls etc that you come across in family history.
I was very fortunate to be asked to be one of the background genealogists when filming was in Bristol. A great experience!
Have a good Christmas and New Year and I will be back at work on 2nd January x

Starting next week on Channel 4, there is a new family history programme called My Family Secrets Revealed. Part of the filming was done in Bristol and I was very fortunate to be asked to be one of the background genealogists.

Delighted that a statue of Millicent Fawcett is to be unveiled in Parliament Square today. A suffragist, she was a tireless campaigner for women's rights all her life. I researched the family several years ago, and along with her sisters, discovered what amazing pioneering women they were!
