A Day in the Life of…Relax with Jax ✨

Step inside a day with me, filled with calm, movement, and little moments of joy 🙏

✨a timed meditation practice to start the day
✨morning breakfast – protein shake with my daily staples
✨a walk in nature visiting my furry friends, grounding and getting my daily steps in, searching for vitamin D
✨off to teach a Spirit class at David Lloyd (a blend of Yoga and Pilates) - love holding space for my Yogis in this big studio
✨a nutritious lunch before teaching a workshop all around the theme of leaning into stillness
✨my heart is full after spending my afternoon at this family run gym called Workout Ashton
✨I always close the day with some journaling or gratitude practice – this book was a beautiful Christmas present from a friend and fellow Yogi

Today is all about love… and that includes self-love 🤗

Whether it’s a quiet cup of tea, a walk in nature, or simply a moment to reflect, remember: you are worthy of love, always.

I love this photo, it’s simply me sending heart hands to the full moon, the perfect reminder that love flows outward and inward, and that taking care of yourself is just as important as caring for others.

Thank you to everyone who joined yesterday’s Self-Love Half Day Retreat in Winford! We loved sharing a few hours of calm, connection, and self-care with you✨

If you’re new here… welcome 🤍

I’m Jax - a yoga teacher and reflexologist based in the beautiful South West. Yoga is my love, and it has been a steady companion through some of the most challenging and transformative moments of my life.

I found yoga more deeply after losing my dad, and the yogic path gave me the strength, calm, and inner peace I needed at a time when everything felt uncertain. That journey led me to complete my Sivananda yoga teacher training in India in 2013 - an experience that changed me in ways I’m forever grateful for.

Now, I hold space for others through yoga classes, nurturing retreats in the UK and abroad, alongside holistic reflexology sessions. Everything I offer is rooted in softness, connection, and the belief that you don’t need to be flexible or “have it all together” - you just need to come as you are 🌿

If you’ve been craving a moment that’s just for you… this is your gentle invitation to join me on one of my retreats this year✨

From 27–30 March 2026, I’ll be holding space at The Middlewick, a place of deep calm set beneath Glastonbury Tor, where time feels slower and the world feels softer. This land sits on the ancient Glastonbury leylines, energy pathways long associated with balance, grounding, and quiet restoration. Many people feel an immediate sense of peace here, as though the land itself invites you to rest. Doesn't that sound wonderful?

There’s something incredibly soothing about being in this space. The open skies, rolling hills, and the steady presence of the Tor overlooking all create an atmosphere where you can finally exhale, let go, soften your mind, and reconnect with yourself 🌿

This retreat is about rest, deep relaxation, and gentle nourishment. Expect grounding yoga practices, time to breathe and be still, delicious, nourishing food, beautiful surroundings, and space to simply be - without any expectation or pressure.

You don’t need to fix anything. You don’t need to arrive feeling a certain way. This is a few precious days to step away from the noise and come home to yourself 🙏

“We must accept finite disappointment, but we must never lose infinite hope.” - Martin Luther King Jr. 🤍

If today feels heavy, you’re not alone. Some days ask us to move slowly, to soften, and to simply be with what is. It’s okay to acknowledge disappointment, fatigue, or low energy - that’s part of being human.

But within it all, there is always hope. Hope in the next breath. Hope in small moments of stillness. Hope in choosing kindness towards yourself today.

If Blue Monday finds you needing a little extra care, let this be your reminder to pause, breathe, and hold yourself gently. You don’t need to fix anything - just show up as you are 🌿
