Obsessed with these images by - the essence of “tending”

A little bts at what goes down in the shala on my Sri Lanka retreat… - “float + ground”. This is a very special spot - It’s where the lessons from the sea become embodied through practice - giving rise to the ripples that begin to move out into the rest of your life post retreat too.

This really is a retreat like no other that I have seen. That rare combination of amazing surf lessons, a restful workshop every afternoon and a small group size. Lotus was originally a home and it’s still very much feels like one all the bedrooms opening onto a communal space really brings the group together and also the size of our home on the island means spaces will always be limited.

The rested beings of January 2026.

Another body tripping exploration into really feeling what magic the Yoga Nidra State holds for us, a shift from the intimacy and familiar cellular self to the vast activist power of this dream state.

Ofc you could simply use it for sleep - but it’s so much more than that.

Float and ground is the retreat I always dreamed of… but couldn’t find it to attend. Sunshine, surf, lolz, and practices that replenish you. And no you don’t have to be able to surf to join us - all activities have the same ethos as the ridiculously delicious breakfasts - have as much or as little as you’d like.

In Feb we head out to the south coast of Sri Lanka - it’s my 6th trip out there in 5 years. It’s such a special island with special people.

There’s just one solo room left and 2 rooms for sharers - be that a friend a lover or coming solo but happy to share a space.

If only 2013 Pip knew what I know now… that sound wasn’t just thud-thud-thud from a speaker stack… but offered a sense of connection of a different type.

When I first experienced sound in this way I fell so hard for it. There was one summer on a Croatian island where I think I was having more sound baths than actual showers😂 Those early sessions offered me a shortcut to a monk-level meditative state faster than anything else I’ve tried. And it’s a completely passive wellness practice: we know that’s right on my energy!

Each time I experience sound it is different (but this is also why I love it) it’s always serving me exactly what needs to happen -whatever needs to move through.

This Thursday, I’ll be guiding a sound session at Brunswick sq, and you’re so invited.

Fun fact - portals to rest was originally inspired by a blog post I wrote… on how to settle to rest. That and a whole load of content that was in the first couple of iterations of rested being an immersion into Yoga Nidra (making it bust at the seams!)

It’s grown and evolved each time it’s been shared.. now spanning 4 days - looking at cellular rest, relationship with rest, rest as activism and a whole day on sound and rest too.

(As a side note - ALWAYS go with trustfall and bag a spot when somebody offers it the first time around - always the best value and full of content!)

Forever grateful to those that practice with me and share so much.

Thank you for creating the perfect space for this work in London, really feels like a home from home 🖤

Come to rest retreat…. What a joy!

We lay, we napped, we basked in the sun, we hid from the rain, we drank af cocktails (thanks ), we rested, we demolished boxes of heroes like a family in December, we tended fire, we got all mossgirl, we dipped in the sea, saw baby seals, drank af beers and pickle flavour crisps on the beach (thanks ), and Wales held it all so sweetly.

Retreat life is the good life.

A retreat big on surf, even bigger on chill.

Join us by the sea in Ahangama for a week that’s equal parts salty surf and serious chill. Warm waves and your body feeling that post sea goodness.

Mornings are for surfing the tropical breaks (or, let’s be honest, tumbling around in them – both count).

Afternoons are dedicated to pure restoration in the dreamy shala - fully stocked with props. It’s the yang and yin dream team – the retreat I’ve always wanted to go on but could never find… so I made it.

Food is a big love here too. The breakfasts at Lotus Surf House are genuinely the best I’ve ever had, and evenings are for slow dinners and the kind of connection that lingers longer than dessert.

Having spent the last five years coming back to this spot, I’ve got plenty of local gems up my sleeve too – from the chocolate rotis that will change your life to gelato worth a tuk tuk ride.
