Hi, I’m Iona 👋

My mission with New Life is simple: to change the way we support new and expectant parents, so future generations can thrive.

I’m a trauma-informed parental brain educator and UKIHCA-registered health coach with a background in psychology and antenatal education.

For the last eight years, my team and I ran award-winning antenatal classes supporting over 8,000 parents. Over time, I saw how many new parents were set up to struggle - expected to do more with less support, while drowning in advice that overlooks the realities and complexities of this transition.

Now, I help parents like you understand how your brain and body adapt for caregiving - and why caring for yourself is central to your baby’s healthy growth and development.

My approach looks at the whole picture - your body, brain, emotions, and lifestyle - because they all work together. When you care for each part, you can ease anxiety, find your footing again, and build more calm, confidence, and connection day by day.

While I’m not a parent myself, my professional training and years of experience working alongside families mean I bring a grounded, non-judgemental perspective - one that helps you step back from the noise, see your situation more clearly, and reconnect with your own strengths and instincts.

Because when parents feel supported and understood - and reminded of what they’re capable of - everyone benefits.
