World Hormone Day

World Hormone Day World Hormone Day is held each year on 24 April

European Hormone Day began in 2022 to bring together the endocrine community and put the spotlight on endocrine health. The aim was to issue a collective call for change about how hormones and endocrine-related disease are addressed in public policy across Europe. Over the years, the campaign has grown from a European initiative into a global initiative to raise awareness and promote better hormone health. On 24 April 2025, the global endocrine community joined forces to help spread the word around the world about why hormones matter and the small steps we can all take towards better hormone health –

There are more than 400 rare diseases related to the endocrine system, affecting over 30 million Europeans. Behind every diagnosis is a patient navigating uncertainty, and their families who advocate, support and fight alongside them every single day.

Raising awareness means recognising this resilience, amplifying each other's voices and pushing for earlier diagnosis, better treatments and stronger support systems.

💜 Today is the Day! 💜
Happy World Menopause Day 2025! 🎉

This year’s theme is Lifestyle Medicine, framing menopause as a natural life transition while recognising the symptoms and health risks that call for personalised, holistic care that can be championed by the healthcare community.

Despite proven therapies that ease symptoms, protect health, and improve quality of life, millions of women still face stigma, misinformation, and barriers to care.

The IMS stresses women deserve the right to the support and materials that do exist, and that they reach those who need them.

The way forward lies in collaboration with healthcare providers, policymakers, and women themselves working together to make menopause support consistent, evidence-based, and universally accessible.

Clinicians are uniquely placed to normalise conversations, break taboos, and deliver the personalised care women urgently need. As the gateway to reliable information and consistent care, healthcare providers have the power to challenge stigma and misinformation, ensuring that no woman is left behind.

By working alongside healthcare professionals globally, IMS believes every woman, everywhere, can gain access to equitable, high-quality menopause care and that World Menopause Day 2025 marks the beginning of a universal standard of care.
