The team provides expert residential, dementia and nursing care for short-term respite and permanent residents. A short drive from the seaside, residents can enjoy an array of superb facilities at the home, including a coffee shop, cinema and hair and beauty salon. The team at The Potteries gets to know each resident so they can provide the best possible person-centred care. They learn their life histories, likes and dislikes, and put together care and lifestyle plans that are tailored to their unique needs and interests. In preparation for Remembrance day we were honoured to recieve a special visit from a The Great War Tribute Truck

The residents loved exploring this incredible vehicle, which serves as a moving memorial to the bravery of our service members. It was a wonderful way to spark conversation and ensure those vital memories and stories are shared.

Another memorable and busy day at The Potteries where the residents were transported back in time thanks to Lori and Paul from Yeatmans of Parkstone with a magical visit from a beautiful magical organ. The nostalgia and wonderful sounds filled the air and brought back wonderdul memories.

Today the residents had the most unforgettable day out. We rolled up in style, cruising like superstars in luxurious limousines courtesy of Lori and her team all the way to Poole Quay. Thank you so much to Yeatmans of Parkstone

First stop Fish & Chips, because whats a Quay visit without that classic treat.
Next we delved into local history at the newly refurbished Poole Museum, uncovering tales and treasures from our past.

And for the perfect grand finale. A sweet pit stop at Truly Scrumptious Sweet Shop for a nostalgic treat and a ride back home in the limousine.

📖 Helping design and plan our seasonal menus
📦 Managing stock and keeping an eye on food costs

Today's prescription for happiness: Movement, Melody and Meaningful Words 💜

💫 Diwali Delight💫

Residents were treated to an afternoon of cultural delight with the lovely Poonam who is one of the founder members of the largest Indian community in Dorset.

Poonam brought Indian culture to life at The Potteries with a talk about the festival of lights, traditional clothing and accessories for the residents to learn about and explore. Poonam then finished off with a amazing performance of Bollywood dancing. 💚💜💛💙🧡

Our recent Halloween festivities at The Potteries were a resounding success, with staff fully embracing the spirit through a themed dress-down day.

The residents were delighted to be joined by Ella, Sophie, Olivia and Aunt Laura who wanted to spread some Halloween joy to the residents, loaded with a bag full of goodies to share with everyone. The girls also took time to chat with the residents along the way.

The residents traveled back in time today with a fascinating talk from our guest speaker Richard all about the legendary local smuggler Issac Gulliver. They learned all about his daring exploits.

Then it was time for some Pet Therapy with Sue, Keren and Carlo the dog from Hounds.
