🌟 Eastham Group Practice is Marching in March for Combat Stress! 🌟

This March, our team at Eastham Group Practice, including several staff members who are proud veterans, will be taking on the Combat Stress “March in March” challenge.

We’re walking to raise vital funds for life-saving mental health treatment for veterans, ensuring those who’ve served our country get the specialist support they deserve.

Every step we take helps Combat Stress provide critical services such as therapy, crisis support, and recovery programmes for former servicemen and women facing PTSD, anxiety, depression, and other mental health challenges.

💙 How you can help:

If you’re able, please consider supporting our fundraising efforts. Your kindness will make a real difference to the lives of veterans who urgently need mental health care.

Thank you for cheering us on—and for helping us support those who’ve supported all of us. 🇬🇧💙

Have Your Say: Help shape the future of Sport and Physical Activity in Wirral.

A new survey has recently been launched to residents and customers who want to improve their health, get more active, or simply share their experiences of sport and physical activity in Wirral, by taking part in the new Moving Communities Place Survey.

Launched by Active Wirral, in partnership with Sport England, the survey gives everyone the chance to have their say on the services, facilities, and opportunities available locally — and to help shape what comes next.

Wirral is the first area in the country to run the new survey which is part of a national Sport England project, following a similar and successful survey in early 2024. The findings will help Active Wirral and Sport England understand what helps people to become more active, what barriers exist, and how local services can better support residents to lead healthier, more active lives.

Previous surveys have seen Wirral receive the largest number of responses in the country, leading directly to improvements in the borough’s community leisure offer. Since then, a number of new activities and facilities have opened, and several new health and wellbeing services have been introduced in leisure centres across Wirral.

This year, Active Wirral is particularly keen to hear from residents who are less active but would like to make a change, as well as people living in Bidston, Birkenhead and Seacombe, which are key focus areas for Sport England’s Place Partnership work.

The short, anonymous survey takes just five minutes to complete and is open to all Wirral residents aged 16 and over. Please forward this email to anyone who may wish to also take part, family, friends and neighbours.

🕯️ Remembrance Sunday 🕯️

Today, we pause to remember and honour all those who have served, sacrificed, and continue to serve in our armed forces.

We give thanks for their courage, dedication, and the freedoms we enjoy because of them.

Lest we forget. 🌺

We are supporting the Department of Health and Social Care and the NHS on a new campaign encouraging all adults to take the Healthy Choices Quiz. This health and wellbeing quiz aims to empower adults to take control of their health by making small changes day to day.

Taking around 5 minutes to complete, the quiz asks a series of
questions about your lifestyle. You will then receive an overall score
out of 10 and advice on how you are doing in each area. You’ll also
receive personalised recommendations and a wealth of NHS resources including free apps to help you act where it’s most needed.
