Don't allow your worst enemy to be your own memory. Ideally, remembering is supposed to help us avoid making the same mistakes again, but many get enmeshed in the pain and suffering, regret and hurt, and revisit that often. This ends up making it even more challenging to move beyond. Whatever we focus our energy on grows. The good news is that we can train our minds, just like we train our muscles.

So, here are some options:

1. RElook: Expand your awareness. Look at what you learned from that memory. How are you stronger today because of what you went through?
2. REframe: Change the story to see yourself as someone who is strong and resilient.
3.RElease: yourself from bitterness and hate, not for them, but for you. Forgive LIFE (not necessarily them) for the harsh lesson, and understand that it has made YOU free.
4.REplace: Intentionally replace negative memories with positive ones that make you smile. Cultivate the good, the sweet and the lovely in your life - both people and experiences.

Send a 🌼 if you are willing to intentionally cultivate, and focus on, something that empowers (rather than drains) you!

The only person that decides what, if, when, and how you decide to change is you. In daily conversations, the word change can imply “improve.” As if something is flawed with how you are. That is the opposite of what we are talking about. Instead, let’s have the meaning of change be “evolve” - as in evolving into more of who you are. Expressing your essential self more fully. And fully accepting, and appreciating (maybe even being amused by) who you are.

No need to change for anyone. No need to be “liked” by everyone or remold yourself into another’s ideal. “One of the most freeing things we learn in life is that we don’t have to like everyone, everyone doesn’t have to like us, and it’s perfectly OK.” ~Unknown

Honor yourself and how you are evolving - that is the greatest gift you can give to yourself and anyone lucky enough to know you.

Are you one of the many that experience “Sunday Scaries?” That’s the feeling of heaviness when you think of all the work that is piled up for you, all the tense situations you may have to deal with, and the lack of time to get everything on your to-do list done.

Time to shift your perspective? There are just so many hours in the day. You can prioritize your tasks and manage your time up to a certain point, and then… you have a choice. Will you ruminate on everything that needs your attention, OR honor yourself for the special moments you have created, and for what you have been able to do? Can you take your head out of future worries and appreciate everything you have right here and right now?

It really helps to manage the things you can manage right now and let go of the things you can't. Learn to cope with problems one by one. Make a choice to pay attention to what's right in front of you, rather than ruminate about a distant “what if” scenario.

Basically, keep an eye on the present since your actions today will influence your future. And that future will be much brighter if you learn to appreciate the present. You can handle whatever comes up; be here now :).
