Changing the shape of teeth during Invisalign to improve proportion- This lovely patient really disliked the size of her front teeth and so we decided to do some enamel contouring to even the proportions. This needed to be done very carefully in stages so that not too much tooth tissue was removed - patience needed !!!! - But a great result was achieved with minimal maintenance for the long term with just a small amount of bonding on the lateral insisors only .

Happy summer holidays 😎 It’s lovely to see our young patients at their regular 6 month checkup- so important as little smiles grow up into big smiles. We check for :
- tooth decay - cleaning and gum health - abnormalities in the mouth - tooth position/ new teeth / tooth loss - early orthodontic problems Then we professionally clean and apply fluoride for prevention to help maintain strong teeth. Many thanks to Milo and his mum Laura for the photo 🙏

What a fabulous case ! A brilliant committed patient- This lovely lady came into the surgery covering her mouth with her hands and wouldn’t smile . She was missing an upper left lateral insisor and so her teeth had shifted to the left - We carried out Invisalign for 10 months ,then some bonding to widen the upper right lateral, disguise the upper left canine as a lateral and the upper left first premolar as a canine. Another option would have been to open the space for an implant to replace the missing lateral ( this would have taken longer). This lady had been told that nothing could be done for her - she came to the surgery for emergency treatment during covid restrictions. Never give up - something can always be done with experience and good planning and definitely don’t go to Turkey for a quick fix !

Difficult case ! - class 3 occlusion and skeletal pattern with a missing canine on the patients right side 🙈- Invisalign followed by bonding has given this lovely patient a huge confidence boost.

Hello again! I haven’t posted in a while as it’s been so busy in both surgery’s since covid - Finally feels like we are getting back to normality!

This case is interesting due to the gum line - see how the instanding lateral insisors have been moved upwards aswell as forwards , taking the gum line with them - then finished with a little bleaching, contouring on the central insisors and edge bonding on the lateral insisors - lovely natural result with minimal treatment , which has kept the cost down for this great patient.

No bonding !! This was just Invisalign with some carefully planned enamel contouring. This fabulous patient does not show any gum line when he smiles so we were able to plan a great smile with no long term maintenance ( except wearing night retainers ).

Absolutely loved this case - brilliant patient who worked hard to improve a gum condition with false pocketing and gingival overgrowth. Invisalign to close open bite and reduce tongue thrust then gingivectomy on upper and lower anterior teeth. Will be watching this case closely for stability of both tooth position and gums. May post further photos of gum surgery for anyone who’s interested and not squeamish !
