Job description
We are looking for motivated Care Assistants to join our team. The role involves personal care and household care management that is personalised for each service user in the form of a care plan. Care Assistant will assist the service user with a variety of duties, whilst observing and respecting the service user’s dignity, privacy and independence at all times.
Main Care Assistant duties and responsibilities will include:
· To provide personal and practical care services for people with a wide range of illnesses and disabilities.
· Care Assistant will assist service users with daily activities and personal hygiene which include, basic morning routines, washing, bathing and toilet where necessary etc.
· To help service users with mobility problems and other physical disabilities, including incontinence and help in use of care and personal equipment.
· Care Assistant will help in the promotion of mental and physical well-being of service users through interaction, participating in hobbies and activities they enjoy e.g., reading.
· Care Assistant will carry out accurately, and in a competent manner, instructions from managers and supervisors, adhering to the care plans of individual service users.
· To read and write in log-book records and take part in staff and service users’ meetings and in training activities as directed.
· Care Assistant will maintain accurate, concise, up-to-date and timely records of the service user’s care, diary sheets and medication form (MAR Chart).
Driving licence and use of own car is essential.
