Think of stress like a bridge 🌉
Some pressure helps you cross it… but too much can make it feel unstable.
You don’t have to carry everything at once.
What can you put down today?

Spending time in nature can do more than you think 🌿
Fresh air, green spaces, even just noticing your surroundings can help calm your mind.
This Earth Day, take a moment to step outside and reset.

We all carry stress — like water in a bucket 🪣
School, friendships, family, expectations… it adds up.
What helps empty your bucket?
Talking? Music? Being outside?
Don’t wait for it to overflow 💭

Art isn’t about being “good” at drawing ✏️

It’s about giving your mind a place to slow down.

Doodling, colouring, sketching… it all counts.
Sometimes your thoughts make more sense on paper than in your head.

Stress isn’t always the enemy!!
A little bit can help you feel motivated, focused, and ready to go… but too much can tip things the other way.
Where are you on your stress curve right now?
Do you need a boost… or a break?

As Neurodiversity Celebration Week comes to an end, we’re reflecting on how important it is to create spaces where every young person feels understood and supported.
At Bromley Y we aim to support neurodivergent young people by:
Creating safe and supportive spaces to talk about mental health
Using flexible and creative approaches in sessions
Working with schools, families, and professionals
Supporting young people to build confidence, coping skills, and self-understanding
Every young person deserves to feel valued for who they are.
Let’s keep celebrating and supporting neurodiversity beyond this week 💙

No two brains are the same 🧠

Neurodiversity includes a range of ways that people think, learn and experience the world.

Some examples include:

⚡ ADHD – creativity, energy, thinking outside the box

🧩 Autism – strong focus, honesty, attention to detail

📚 Dyslexia – creative thinking, problem-solving, big-picture ideas

🎯 Dyspraxia – determination, creativity, resilience

🔄 OCD – strong awareness, responsibility, attention to detail

🎤 Tourette’s – creativity, resilience, quick thinking

Like everyone, neurodivergent people can experience both strengths and challenges, and everyone’s experiences will be different.

Understanding neurodiversity helps us build environments where young people feel supported, accepted and able to thrive.

This week we’re recognising Neurodiversity Celebration Week 🧠✨
Neurodiversity is the idea that everyone’s brain works in different ways.
These differences are natural and part of human diversity.
Some people may identify as neurodivergent, including those with:
• ADHD
• Autism
• Dyslexia
• Dyspraxia
• Tourette’s
• Dyscalculia
Every brain has its own strengths, challenges, and ways of experiencing the world.
At Bromley Y, we believe that understanding neurodiversity helps us create more supportive environments where young people can thrive.
👀 Look out for more posts this week as we celebrate neurodiversity and share ways we support neurodivergent young people.
