Christmas is a special time of year, but it can also be a period when routines slip, energy drops, and some of us need a little extra support. That is why Thrive Club means so much during the festive season. It brings people together, keeps us active, and creates a space where connection really matters.

At Walfinch Homecare we focus on community, movement, and the simple joy of looking after one another. Over Christmas some people may need additional help with their home care or daily wellbeing, and we want everyone to know that support is always available. No one should feel alone or overwhelmed at this time of year.

Thank you to everyone who continues to show up, look out for each other, and make Thrive Club a place where people can grow together. Here is to staying active, staying connected, and thriving through the holidays.

Our BDM Clare attended the monthly Bromley Dementia Friendly Community (BDFC) breakfast meetup today. As a core member of BDFC, she always values the chance to connect with others who are committed to making Bromley a more supportive place for people living with dementia. The event was, as always, hosted by Thackray Williams Solicitors in Bromley.

The BDFC brings together volunteers, local businesses and community partners who work to ensure people with dementia can live well in the community. The group delivers Dementia Friends Awareness sessions across the borough, including in schools, youth groups and local organisations, helping more people understand dementia and the impact it has on individuals and families.

It was great to catch up with the BDFC core committee, along with Lauren Digby from Pemberley Manor, Roberta Svile from Local Care Advisor and Andy Larkam from Secure Wills. A productive and positive start to the day.

We had a great morning at the opening of The Rainbow Care Group - Bromley in Orpington. Walfinch Homecare is always proud to be part of community events that make a real difference.

We enjoyed reconnecting with the Mayor and many familiar friends, and loved meeting new people along the way.
