My Bickley group has earned this award for Member retention- This means my members aren’t giving up. Our lovely group is keeping motivation high, even at the end of January!!

My members know that Food optimising isn’t a New Year's resolution fad diet! promising rapid weight loss and failing long-term!
80% of such quick fix resolutions fail by February!!
At Slimming World Bickley, we’re learning the physiological behaviour changes required for long term Slimming success. And what’s more we’re loving it. ❤️❤️❤️

Classic spaghetti bolognaise🍝. And on Tuesday we can look forward to Lasagne with the other half of the batch. ❤️ super excited about that, cos it tastes even better when it’s had a day in the fridge. Not to mention the fact of saving a few pennies by stretching out pack of mince over two meals. And goodness knows we can all do with making food go a bit further in the current climate. Can’t quite believe how much a food shop costs these days. I’m always grateful for the money saving tips and idea that are shared at group.

I definitely could not have lost 4 stone without this Slimming World staple. A cooked breakfast, when FOOD OPTIMISED a cooked breakfast can be completely FREE FOOD! I didn’t weigh or measure anything!!
Losing weigh doesn’t have to mean going hungry or living on shakes!
I unapologetically LOVE FOOD and there’s no shame in that. I have a big appetite and that’s okay too!
Until I joined Slimming world I had no idea that losing weight could taste this good. If you want to make 2026 the year YOU take back the power and lose weight whilst exploring some of the deeper barriers that might be holding you back, give me a call or pop into one of my groups.

“After seeing my “Before” photo Dec22, I was shocked at how I looked, I just didn’t recognise myself anymore and decided I needed to do something about it.
The decision I made that day literally has changed my life.
Thursday 5th Jan 2023 I walked into Avril’s slimming world. I thought I’d just poke my nose in and see what it was all about, I didn’t think I’d sign up as I’d tried every diet known to man and this would probably just be another phase of yo-yo dieting. Boy was I wrong!!
From that morning everything changed, Avril’s friendly, kind, understanding approach was exactly what I needed.
I sat quietly in the circle feeling very nervous as I didn’t know anyone. Not for long though. I was made to feel very welcome and soon felt part of an amazing team of people all wanting the same thing. We all get it and feel for each other, we sympathise on a bad week and celebrate on a good ones.
I’ve made some amazing friends that I can honestly say , I can’t live without now, we’ve found something really special.

In 2024, with a little encouragement from my fellow members I joined a beginners running class. I didn’t for one second believe I’d be able to do it, but once again with support and encouragement I suprised myself by running a 5k. I am now a regularly runner (something I never thought I’d say! )
Furthermore I am now at active member of the running training team, supporting others to start running.

I still go to group every week and stay as I really value the support, tips and ideas to keep me on track. Since I’m a target member I don’t have to pay anymore.
Thank you Avril and all of you for being there and being my thinspiration 💚💚”
