It’s been a fantastic build up throughout December with my clients. More Christmas trees than you can shake a stick at. Baking, walking, games, music, shopping and lots of festive fun.

Christmas at Warwick Castle 🎄 🏰

Feeling the Christmas spirit 🎄 🏰

We had a very festive day at Warwick Castle. The weather was beautiful and the Castle looks stunning. Definitely worth a visit. Then we had a little wander around Warwick to find a gorgeous little Tea shop, just outside of the castle grounds.

Carers can go free to Warwick Castle, book in advance for cheaper admission, and there is accessible parking for those who can’t walk from the bottom carpark. But get there early as you can’t reserve a space, it’s first come first serve.

As always, I'm keeping things private – no photos of my lovely clients. They are taken just for the families. Discretion is a top priority and I'm grateful to be trusted with their support.

Trying so desperately not to post Christmas things until 1st Dec 🤐 😬 so I will refrain until then…

Autumn has been so beautiful. I’ve loved sharing the colours, bright sunshine outdoors and cosy times inside if it’s raining with my lovely ladies and Gents.

As usual it’s been full on with activities and days out. Making memories, meeting new people, meeting old friends, promoting independence , adjusting to new phases of life and giving support where it’s needed most.

We’ve been swimming, baking, playing chess, salsa dancing, visiting Cadburys, going to the library, visiting garden centres, playing bingo, playing skittles and oooooo we’ve even stopped for a McDonald’s drive through, because even if you’re 83 you can still enjoy a cheeseburger!! 🍔

I actually can’t remember everything I’ve done with my clients this month there’s been so much!

A big thank you to Living Well with Dementia - Age UK Wyvern for the past two weeks entertainment at their Redditch and Bromsgrove Dementia cafes! They really are helping people live well with dementia!

So lovely to see the room packed and my client having a great time.

Using the local library and connecting with local services with my lovely client.

This has become a weekly routine. Most weeks we go swimming, use the library, pop into a local coffee shop or church coffee morning, head to Webb’s or Hanbury Hall. There are so many great places to visit locally.

We used the library computer to print some pictures. We always take activities to do too! This helps with K’s engagement. She always gets involved and really enjoys being creative. ♥️

Today we will be remembering ♥️

So much hard work from both of these churches, St Augustine’s in Droitwich and St Peter’s in Inkberrow. What a fantastic way to show support and remembrance. My client was amazed by all the hardwork.

A really lovely Halloween activity with a wonderful young lady!

Shopping together for the ingredients was a great exercise in promoting her independence, something I'm passionate about supporting in my role.

I'm so grateful to play a part in supporting these wonderful ladies and gents to get out and about, enjoying life to the fullest. It’s truly a privilege!
