We keep seeing Empty Chairs pop up on our feed, and the more we look at it, the more I think it is a genuinely strong idea.

It is simple: a small table in a pub, a few empty chairs, and an open invitation for anyone who wants company to join.

Sometimes the best ideas are the ones that remove friction rather than add complexity.

Loneliness is a real issue for people of all ages, and creating more accessible, informal ways for people to sit together feels like a very worthwhile thing to do.

Think you might “do it wrong” with a defib?

Let’s bust the biggest myth: you can’t shock someone who doesn’t need it.
Modern AEDs analyse the heart rhythm and will ONLY allow a shock if it’s needed. If it’s not a shockable rhythm, it simply won’t deliver one.

Common fears we hear in workplaces and community groups:
• “I’ll make it worse”
• “I need to be medically trained”
• “What if I get it wrong?”

In a cardiac arrest, doing something fast is what matters. The AED talks you through it step by step.
