Vacancy - Full Time, Medical Receptionist

37 hours per week over 4 days (Monday-Friday between opening hours of 8am and 6.30pm)

We are seeking a reliable, enthusiastic, and flexible person to join our friendly team.

Experience with EMIS Web is preferable, but not essential.

The practice works from three surgery buildings, Kirkby-in-Furness, Broughton-in-Furness and Askam-in-Furness. Flexibility in working from three sites is expected and use of a car is therefore essential. Flexibility to cover for holiday and sickness leave will be required.

Please note, any repeat medication ordered now will not be ready to collect until after Christmas. We may ask you to take your prescription to a chemist if your request is too short notice.

Polite reminder regarding collection of repeat medication

We are receiving high levels of calls from patients ringing to check if their medication is ready.

If you have allowed 7 working days, you do NOT need to telephone the practice to see if your repeat medication is ready to collect.

If there are any issues with your prescription, we will contact you immediately.

Mental Health Practitioner appointments at DVMP

Did you know that you can access mental health support right here at the surgery?

If you are struggling with low mood, anxiety, stress, grief, seeking review of anti-depressant medications, or just want someone to talk to, then please contact the surgery to organise an appointment.

Please note, if you are already receiving mental health treatment from First Step or the Mental Health Team, you will not be able to access this service. This service is also only available to those aged 18 and over.

Due to several non-attendances in our planned flu clinics, we are pleased to be able to offer a small amount of appointments for those patients who have not yet been able to obtain their vaccine.
