We still have flu vaccinations available for all eligible patients, please phone to book an appointment.

There is also a link to the clinics ran by the Health Board attached.

The best way to protect yourself and your loved ones against the flu is to get the annual NHS flu vaccine. The vaccine can prevent you getting the flu, reduce the severity of symptoms if you do, and help to prevent you passing it on to other vulnerable people.

The road up to the Broughton surgery is finally being repaired by the council. It will therefore be difficult to park today and impossible tomorrow.

Please walk to the surgery if you are able or park elsewhere.

We have today sent texts to eligible patients to book directly for a flu vaccination. We are trying to phone all patients without a mobile but this takes a great deal of time. If you know of any relatives who are eligible for a vaccination and have not yet had one please encourage them to phone and book an appointment.

We have available clinics up until the end of next week. From week commencing 24 November the Health Board will be stepping in to assist all practices whose patients have not yet had either the flu or the covid vaccination. Patients at that point will be asked to attend one of the Health Board vaccination centres. We will then not be actively inviting patients as this can cause duplication in staff time and patients often forget they have an appointment booked either at the surgery or at a centre. This results in a lot on none attendance and wasted clinical time. We are unsure whether the Health Board will withdraw the remainder of our flu vaccines so if you wish to have your vaccination in the surgery we would encourage you to book if you have not yet done so.

UKHSA’s early season data shows vaccination remains best defence alongside good respiratory hygiene as flu activity rises.
