It was a warm and delightful Thursday here at Broxbourne Nursing Home which meant it was time for our Knitting session. Knitting sessions at our home takes place at 10:30am and are accompanied with yummy refreshments throughout! 🎨 🍹
During this session our community members along with family supporters accompanied our lovely residents; our residents were over the moon with the support they were given and there were endless smiles that filled our home 😄 🌛
Residents worked on a variety of projects, from cosy scarves and blankets to simple practise pieces for those polishing their knitting skills. The room was filled with conversation, laughter, and the gentle rhythm of knitting needles, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere for everyone involved 😅 🧣
We participated in this session to provide an enjoyable, creative experience for the residents while also encouraging social interaction. This is so beneficial for residents as it combines an activity they love and can use to express themselves creatively with a life skill that helps them step outside their comfort zone in a safe and trustworthy environment 💟
