At a time when some are reflecting on successes of the past year, or making positive plans for the year ahead, we just wanted to acknowledge how difficult it can be to leave the year behind without your loved ones by your side.

Our families have often experienced unimaginable loss and yet, still take the time to be so gracious. We are so privileged to be entrusted with your loved ones and it is an honour we never take for granted. We are thinking of you all, we hope 2026 is much kinder to you 💜

We also would like to thank those who has supported us in looking after our families this year – officiants, organists, church and crematorium staff, the burial teams, florists, caterers, printers to name a few…your care and dedication is appreciated and we couldn’t do it without you! Wishing you all the best in the year ahead!

The family of the late Sheila Henderson wishes to thank everyone for their kind expressions of sympathy and support they received following the sad loss of Sheila.

Heartfelt thanks to Jennifer and the team at Joe Dawsons for their sensitivity and care of Sheila, also to Gillian Anderson who captured her perfectly in her tribute. Thanks to Boda for the beautiful flowers and the Royal Oak, Cullen for the wonderful teas. A donation was made to Buckie Wildcat Community First Responders who attended to Sheila.

Many thanks to all at Ardach Health Centre especially the nursing team. Lastly, an extra special thanks to the care team who cared for Sheila in the last few years but especially the last few months. You are a special group of people.

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Elaine (nee Mair), at A.R.I., on Sunday, December 21, 2025 aged 53 years. Peacefully, surrounded by his family, at Seafield Hospital, Buckie, on Monday, December 15, 2025, Bill, aged 92 years. Much loved husband of the late Lorna, loving dad of Billy, Dougie and Pauline, father in law of Linda and James, a very proud granda and great granda, dear brother and friend to many. A celebration of Bill's life will be held at Moray Crematorium on Wednesday, December 24, at 10.30am to which all are welcome. We're aware of information circulating online about interment bookings and would like to clarify the situation.

Our team is still accepting bookings for burials and will be available for enquiries over the Christmas and New Year period at the times below.

The next available interment date is 6 January 2026 due to the burial diary being at capacity until then, but existing scheduled burials over the festive period are going ahead.

The information below shows the opening times for interment enquiries over the Christmas and New Year period.

Monday 22 December: Normal office hours
Tuesday 23 December: Normal office hours
Wednesday 24 December: Office closes at 3pm
Thursday 25 December and Friday 26 December: Office Closed

Adored son of Rowan and Jodie, loving big brother of Bennie and Jude, cherished grandson of ‘Poppa Bill’ and the late ‘Nanna Jude’, and Moira ‘Granny Broon’ and the late Andy Brown, also a treasured nephew, cousin and wee pal to everyone he met.
