Inspired by the play "Every Brilliant Thing" our residents have been sharing their brilliant things with Julia. I think I would join Pat and David and Gallop along the river past the tall oak tree.

Although we do not post very often, Lime Tree Court continues to be full of Love, Laughter and Care.
As always, we've been keeping the residents busy and as normal, the summer party was a particular highlight, including a visit from the fire service (planned, not an emergency). This year we unveiled a very special picture, painted by the incredible Chris Scott. (Sadly we could not include all the wonderful staff and residents past and present).

On the theme of art....A few months ago we welcomed our new cat, Brooke, to Lime Tree Court and we would love children to paint or draw us a picture of her. The winners will be chosen by the residents at the end of the summer holidays. If any children need inspiration to see what she looks like in real life, please pop over to see her (10.30-11.30 or 2-4)

The residents and families summer party is always such a special afternoon. Everyone had a wonderful afternoon on Saturday and it means so much to the residents. We ensured that we finished judging the decorated pebbles - the winners will be announced this week. Finally, due to the number of visitors sorry for any disruption caused with the additional parking and cars, but as its only once a year I am sure you all appreciate it was worth it!

Thank you to all the residents of Twyford who decorated pebbles for us in preparation for judging at our residents summer party.... sadly our party had to be rearranged due to bad weather (wish we had arranged it for this weekend) but rest assured the residents, staff and visitors are busy judging and will be in touch with the winners in the next few weeks.... with photos of the winning pebbles

We loved wreath making with Pembridge Farm Flowers this week. Thank you to Carrie for hosting us. We loved every second. Carrie came to our rescue when a local business was unwilling to host us as they did not feel it was suitable for those with dementia. It’s shocking that attitudes like this still exist..

We loved our visit to The Milk Churn in Marsh Gibbon. Milkshakes all round. Lottie is disappointed she hasn’t had any….

What a wonderful day we had on Sunday. It was so lovely to see so many of our residents families enjoying the garden for our summer party…. And of course enjoying the chocolate fountain….

We’ve been loving the spring sunshine, particularly as we were able to release our butterflies yesterday. We watched them turn from caterpillar, to chrysalis and then hatch to painted lady butterflies
