Dear all,
I am sure you are all by now well aware of the COVID-19 outbreak and the government’s effort to try and stop the spread of the virus. As a result we have been advised by our professional bodies to join in the effort and a few changes will have to be made to our practice.
We will remain open with reduced hours to provide ESSENTIAL services only. Please call the practice on 01288-350041 to discuss your problems before attending the practice, where an optometrist will triage you to see if a visit to the practice is necessary. Unfortunately we will not be able to see any walk-in patients, or patients wanting a routine eye examination, until further notice. If you have broken your glasses, please ring the practice first and we will arrange an appointment to help you.
We will also have to ask a few more questions with regards to your health before we can make an appointment, so please be patient with us. Please also observe the 2m social distance and please do not be offended if we ask you to first wash your hands before anything when you first enter the practice. We are all trying our best to prevent the spread of the virus.
If you have symptoms of, or suspect you may have the virus, please do not attend your GP, or Pharmacist. Please call NHS 111.
As the government’s approach to the COVID-19 outbreak is rapidly changing, our professional bodies and representatives are doing their best to keep us up to date on best practices and we will attempt to update you as things progress. Thank you for your patience and understanding.
