So those of you who have loved ones at Penlow will know about the unique feedback system that is operated by the Association of Natural Burial Grounds-ANBG.

Each year there are more than a thousand feedback forms returned to Rosie; from member sites all over the country.

Here you can have a sneak peek into the kinds of responses that people receive… natural burial can make a real difference to people 💕

* A C O R N • C A R P E T *

For anyone who’s ever visited Penlow - you won’t have failed to notice our beautiful big oak in the woods, that’s more than 200 years old 😮

There is an absolute carpet of acorns surrounding this one - all over the woods right now.

Meredith decided to make it a little mission of hers; trying to grow some baby oaks from these acorns.

First of all she tricked the acorns into thinking it was winter time, so they would start to grow roots. After a few weeks in our fridge…that’s exactly what happened!

Now we wait - we hope that her little experiment comes to fruition…..we will let you know…..in probably quite a long time!

I have today placed an order for native bluebell bulbs for planting in the woods at Penlow.

They will be arriving sometime in the next 10 days.

If anyone would like to get involved with planting them with us - we’d be grateful of any helpers!

If you are interested in doing that - please pop me a message and I can let you know when it’s going to be possible to get them in the ground. Likely to be the first or second weekend in November.

Today we had a very musical welcome for David; as he reunited with his love Lesley. David chose a vary variety of music for all who came to wish him farewell to hear 🎶

Some lovely tales were told too, each one of us is so unique 💙. I used to enjoy a little catch up with David on his visits with Lesley.
Now the two of you can talk to your hearts content 💖
