Red Bay Pilates aims to help you improve your mobility,strength, coordination and your body awareness whilst working through a full range of low impact exercises. Our professional and honest approach to teaching all ages and abilities is key to achieving this awareness. We are passionate about encouraging a healthy lifestyle and allowing the body and mind to reach a level of ‘health’ that lets us be happy. Look what’s arrived in the studio 👀

Iv decided to stock .apparel socks in the studio due to many clients finding they were slip-sliding on their mats and I just couldn’t get enough of the gorgeous colour combos and bold grippy bottoms 🧡

These new merino wool winter additions are making me feel super festive ❄️ and they went down a storm at our Festive Fayre last Friday!

✨ Pop-up festive fayre debrief! ✨

What an absolute beauty of a night we had hosting our first pop-up in the studio. We aren’t going to lie, there was a real mixture of excitement and anticipation not knowing what was in store for us and the sellers but we really didn’t need to worry.

Budleigh! You really showed up for us, it was amazing having so many people step over the threshold with sparkly eyes and warm smiles who all came in to enjoy a slice of joy with us 🧡 For us it felt like a beautiful moment to share our collaborative plans with you and the feedback was truly positive!

We want to say a special thank you to the 10 gorgeous Devon makers who came and shared their own work with you all. It’s safe to say all had a fabulous time too 🤩

We can’t wait to be having you all in the studio again soon for another moment of joy ✨

Sounds mean I know but it’s true. Hear me out, your experience of Pilates is going to be totally different to the person lying on the mat next door to you.

So why bother focussing on the where?

We should focus on the how does it make your body feel and when I teach I also focus on the why we are moving our bodies that way.

The next time you go to your Pilates class take note of how many times your teacher mentions the why and if they don’t at all, then ask them “why are we moving this way?”

You should know more about the exercises you’ve been given, are they to mobilise or strengthen? Or are they to improve coordination? Or they simply for fun (which is perfectly okay by the way!)?

You’re entitled to ask questions in your Pilates class, I want you to speak up and feedback on how it’s feeling especially if there’s pain.

So no, please don’t ask me where you should be feeling it instead ask me about the how and the why.

🌞 NEW YOGA CLASS 🌞

Saturday mornings Restore & Repair

10.30-11.30am

Restorative Yoga class suitable for all including beginners!

£10 for the first class and the future classes will be £11 block booking / £14 drop-in

Opening class is Saturday 1st November and then every other Saturday until January 2026 where it will change to a weekly class.

This will be a chance to slow down, relax and repair at the end of a long week. Bring a blanket or jumper and some socks for the extended relaxation at the end of the class.

I’m Charlotte, a registered physiotherapist and clinical yoga teacher based in East Devon.
After working in physiotherapy for over 15 years, I’ve seen just how powerful movement can be for recovery, strength and peace of mind.

This is why I have created Libra Physio & Yoga, to bring these two worlds together. My classes blend clinical knowledge with mindful yoga practice, offering a safe space for you to move, breathe and reconnect with your body.
My aim is to help you feel stronger, more balanced and at ease.
