This event offers a friendly space for veterans to meet others, talk, and enjoy a coffee together. It is a good opportunity to connect with fellow veterans and spend time in a relaxed environment.

Veterans are welcome to drop in at any time during the session.

Ovarian Cancer Awareness is a reminder to know the symptoms and act early.

Symptoms can be vague and may include:

- persistent bloating
- tummy pain
- feeling full quickly
- needing to wee more often
- unexplained changes in appetite

If you notice ongoing symptoms that are unusual for you, it’s important to speak to your GP. When discussing symptoms, let your doctor know about any family history of cancer, not just ovarian cancer and not only in parents or siblings, as this can help assess your overall risk.

Keeping up to date with cervical screening when invited is also an important part of protecting your gynaecological health. Early action can make a real difference. 🎗️💙🩺✨

Practice Nurse required for rural practice

Previous experience desirable.

Post will incorporate all aspects of practice nurse duties including childhood immunisations, cervical cytology screening, long term condition reviews, spirometry, new patient checks, dressings, phlebotomy etc

The ideal person for this post would have to be flexible as would be expected to help cover for sick days and annual leave etc

This post would be best suited to someone who is energetic, enthusiastic and who enjoys working as part of a team

Pay would depend upon previous experience

The next phase of the building works starts on Monday 2 March.

A new entrance will be constructed. The existing entrance will be closed and patients will enter the building through a new door at the side of the old Boots building. This will be clearly signposted.

This entrance is accessible by wheelchair via a new pathway. Our Reception team will be on hand to help with any questions. The rest of the building is open and working as usual. A new corridor links the area.

We are very excited to welcome you to our new addition and look forward to using new consulting rooms in the next few months.
