Our residents have enjoyed a relaxing origami session. Folding paper may seem simple, but it offers meaningful benefits, it supports fine motor skills, improves hand–eye coordination, and encourages focus and patience.

Origami also provides a calming, meditative break in the day, giving residents a chance to express creativity at their own pace.

This World Diabetes Day, Diabetes UK are challenging the stigma surrounding diabetes and encouraging people to reflect on how they talk about the condition.

Diabetes UK found that, across the UK, over 8 in 10 people with type 1 and over 7 in 10 people with type 2 diabetes say they experience blame and judgement for their condition. It is important that we are all conscious of how the things we say impact others, because our words matter. Together, we can and help improve the lives of those living with diabetes.

This week, we had the absolute pleasure of hosting a beautiful baby shower in our home for Ana, our wonderful Team Leader, and Emanuel, our amazing Registered General Nurse, who are eagerly awaiting the arrival of their baby girl in just a few weeks! 🎀

Staff and residents came together to celebrate this special occasion, with plenty of games, delicious cakes, and heartfelt conversations about all things parenthood. 🍼🎂👶

🚌 The latest episode of Where’s Andrew?

This week, Andrew and some of our Cotswold Gate residents hit the road again, this time to the Oxford Bus Museum! 🏙️🚌

They discovered over 130 years of Oxfordshire transport history, exploring the amazing collections of buses, cars, and cycles that tell the story of how people have travelled around our county through the years. 🚗🚲

Andrew, of course, was right in the middle of it all, asking questions, snapping photos, and making sure he didn’t miss a single exhibit (or camera lens!) 😎📸

Stay tuned to see where Where’s Andrew? pops up next, you never quite know where the adventure bus will go! 👀🚌

To mark Remembrance Sunday and Armistice Day, our residents have taken part in memorial services across the country to honour those who served and continue to serve our country. For many of our residents, these dates hold personal significance and provide the opportunity to not only honour their own past, loved ones and friends, but also share memories of such an important part of their lives.

At the going down of the sun and in the morning, we will remember them.
