The JANUARY GYM RUSH is coming very soon! Long queues at the machines, busy gyms, people standing around you and waiting for you to finish your set. Luckily here at Phoenix Performance we're a Small Group PT or 1on1 PT gym only! This means there's never any more than 4 people training in the gym at one time. You get the space to train effectively and efficiently so that you can complete your programme within 1 hour!!!

There are of course numerous different causes, but there are also many similarities in the way you can treat such them. 😮

One thing that all experts agree on, is that rest is not the way to go! You need to exercise and keep moving to reduce pain as lack of range of movement and stiffness is a big contributor.

Not all exercises are created equal when it comes to putting together a plan though. Dynamic movements like kettlebell swings for example. Although they will work your posterior chain, are a very poor choice and can in fact make matters much worse!

In many cases it is a combination of stretching and then strengthening that can lead to the best results in the fastest possible time frame.

Do you have tight hamstrings? If so I would strongly advise you start there, and then incorporate some posterior chain work.
