Hi Everyone!! Settle in for a long post :)

Very long time no speak on here! We do not really post on social media much now as our website does all the amazing work for us and we tend to put new things up on there, so make sure you take a look. I did think however it was worth updating you on a couple of things here at Holistically Ginger.

Firstly, welcome to the family Tilly & Daisy, the crazy sisters!! We had to say goodbye to our beautiful Iris last year which was heartbreaking and just like with Tommy, a bit of a shock. She will always be the most beautifulest smelling cat in the world and our quirky little girl. We adopted this crazy duo at the end of last year and they have brought us so much joy and laughter already! Some of you will have already met them and I am looking forward to summer with them playing and sunbathing in the garden.

In treatment news, last year Jay and I undertook a few months of home study and a face to face training course in Medical Acupuncture and Dry Needling which we had been looking at for a while and many of you had been asking us for, so we knew it would be a great asset to the business. We are both licensed by the local council and the Sanctuary has been inspected and licensed. This is now available to book on the website along with details of the treatment and if you have any questions then do not hesitate to get in touch.

I (Caz) have also been doing some extra training in Auricular (Ear) Acupuncture, as this really interests me. The Ear, like the feet, face and hands is a microsystem of the body which means you can access the whole body through these areas and treat accordingly.

The training I have done qualifies me as a NADA (National Acupuncture Detoxification Association) practitioner which allows me to carry out a specific form of Ear Acupuncture involving needling up to 5 points in each ear. It was initially set up to help people dealing with addiction, but as the time has passed it has also been seen as a fantastic wellbeing treatment which can be used to help people dealing with Stress, Anxiety, Insomnia, Cravings, Hot Flushes/Night Sweats amongst other things. I will link the NADA GB website below so you can see the wonderful work the practitioners are doing all over the world.

It is ideally carried out in a group setting as it can have quite a meditative effect, with minimal discussion and no need to remove any clothing, just a few questions to be answered and the treatment can take place. Therefore I have decided to open up on Sunday afternoons in March from 2 - 4pm and offer NADA Sundays!! As a pilot and to see the interest in it I am starting with 2 people at 2pm and 2 at 3pm. You can come as a pair and be together for the session or alone but you will have someone else in the room with you (as well as myself administering the needles).
I want to keep it low cost so initially for the pilot, the cost of treatment will be just £10 per person. You may find you enjoy it so much you want to book another slot in which of course you can!!

All bookings need to be made directly with me as I cannot make this available for you to book on the booking system due to timing constraints and multiple people at the same time. The first Sunday in March (2nd) is already full and I only have 2pm available on the 9th, but the 16th, 23rd and 30th still have 2 & 3pm available.

I found it to be a very calming treatment and I know everyone may respond differently, but why not give it a try and come and spend an hour in our beautiful treatment room and have some time for yourself.

Please be aware though that with any of our Acupuncture treatments, if you regularly give blood, you will not be able to do this for up to 4 months from the time of your treatment.

Good Afternoon all!

Jay and I hope you are doing well.

We wanted to remind you about our double appointments, where you would see both of us in one session at the Sanctuary. They have been incredibly popular over the last couple of months and originally we had them at a special offer price. We do now need to raise the prices slightly on these and will be doing this on January 1st. You can therefore still book up to the end of March (3 months in advance) at the offer prices until the end of this year.

The sessions are made up of a 60 or 90 minute Foot Reflexology, Facial Reflexology or both and/or Reiki treatment with myself followed by a 60 or 90 minute Massage with Jay. We offer a 2 hour (£60), 2 and a half hour (£70) or 3 hour (£80) session for the ultimate in relaxation! They do obviously take up some time in the diary, hence we have always said to try and book ahead, particularly now if you want to grab the offer prices. Currently, January is fully booked which is incredible for us but you could still get yourself a late winter or early spring slot.

You may even be given a voucher or thinking of getting someone a voucher in the next couple of days😀

We hope you have a wonderful time in the next few days if you are celebrating Christmas and we wish you all a calm and peaceful 2024. Long time no speak and I hope life is treating you well. Life at HG has been incredibly busy with December looking likely to be just the same! We are always hugely grateful for your continued support of our small business whether that be through your visits to us, voucher purchases, recommendations or following us online. I still find it hard to believe that it is approaching 7 years since I opened the doors to the Sanctuary!

As we approach what can become 'silly season', we wanted to let you know that we have now made purchasing vouchers from us directly that little bit easier. You can still purchase through our website which many find a very easy and convenient way to do it, but we also have a stock ready made for you to get from us here. You can purchase for a set amount, or we can personalise it for a specific treatment, if you know what they may like.

We have some in the Sanctuary if you are here for a treatment already and would like to purchase one before you go, or if you want to pop by to pick one up then just give us a call or a message and we can make sure someone is here. You can pay by cash, card or bank transfer.

We felt this gives more options to you if you wanted to gift a friend or loved one a treatment and did not want to or were not able to purchase through the website.

It’s been busy here at Holistically Ginger recently and posting on our social media has not been at the forefront of our minds, so apologies for that.

We have been very lucky to meet lots of new people over the last few months and on a lot of days this is resulting in a full diary, so if there is a certain day or time you are thinking of visiting us, please try and book in advance to avoid disappointment.

We are so grateful and would like to thank you all for your returning visits. We never take them for granted especially in these times when every penny counts to so many of us.
