Beaufort House care home sits in the seaside town of Burnham-on-Sea, in Somerset.

A former school, with two acres of landscaped grounds, Beaufort has 33 ensuite rooms in the main home and 12 self-contained, independent living flats close by.

A truly amazing Christmas Day at Beaufort House 🎅🤶🎄

A truly wonderful end to our Christmas celebrations at Beaufort House 🍾🎄

We had the pleasure of hosting the Burnham and Highbridge Brass Band, who were absolutely spectacular. Their performance featured so many well-loved Christmas carols, and everyone enjoyed singing along together.

On Tuesday morning, we were delighted to welcome Steve Bennett, our local vicar who visits us monthly, along with members of his congregation, for a beautiful carol service. The morning was made even more special by the involvement of the lovely children from Footprints Nursery. Families who joined us thoroughly enjoyed the service, and we would like to thank the children for the beautiful card they made for us. We hope they also enjoyed the cards and treats we shared with them.

We would like to say a heartfelt thank you to everyone for their support throughout the run-up to Christmas 🎄 A very special thank you goes to our wonderful families and friends who so kindly brought in gifts for all our staff to enjoy 🎁🍬🥂

Our residents at Beaufort House loved seeing the staff dressed up for Christmas Jumper Day last week, and they asked us to do it again this week 🎄✨. Many joined in wearing festive or sparkling jumpers, spreading even more cheer!

We are so lucky to have such wonderful staff and residents 🤶💛.

Next week, we’re excited to welcome a brass band 🎵 to play some carols, and our annual carol service on Tuesday morning will be another special occasion, well attended by families and friends 🎶

It just gets better each day at Beaufort House, Burnham-on-Sea! 🌟

On Tuesday afternoon, we were delighted to welcome some joyful singers for a fantastic performance. A huge thank you to them — the residents absolutely loved singing along and having fun, which was wonderful to see 🎶🎄.

On Wednesday, a couple of our gentlemen enjoyed a trip to the garden centre to admire the Christmas decorations, enjoy afternoon tea and cake, and share plenty of laughs 😃🎅🎁🤶🥳.

Beaufort House, Burnham-on-Sea 🌟

Originally, we planned a trip to Clarks Village, but with the rain in for the day, we headed to the covered shopping mall at Cribbs Causeway in Bristol instead. What a lovely time we all had! Residents enjoyed picking up bits for themselves, Christmas cards, and gifts 🎁 — one even treated herself to a present from Santa 🎅.

Lunch was at Burger King, complete with milkshakes or tea, and it was all thoroughly enjoyed by everyone 😋. Lots of happy faces and plenty of Christmas cheer filled the day 🎄✨

Another busy and festive week at Beaufort House! 🏠🎄

Residents enjoyed trips to the Christmas garden centre with friends, laughing, chatting, and picking out decorations for their rooms, followed by a lovely afternoon tea. Helen also brought in Chester the PAT dog, who always delights the residents — especially when they feed him his treats 🐾💛.

At Music for Memory, one of our residents had a heartwarming reunion with an old friend, and another gentleman created a beautiful wreath for the first time with a friend 🎀.

The Christmas spirit is definitely alive and well at Beaufort House! 🤶✨

What a brilliant week at Beaufort House, Burnham-on-Sea! 🎄✨

Our team came to work dressed as elves to raise funds for the Alzheimer’s Society, helping to support this very important cause 💛. We also enjoyed a fabulous afternoon at Saunders Garden World. The residents were mesmerised by the beautiful Christmas lights, taking their time to admire each one and sharing memories of past festive seasons. We even managed to pick up a few Christmas gifts 🎁.

The afternoon was topped off with a lovely tea, complete with a choice of delicious cakes 😋.

We’re all looking forward to next week’s activities — including flower arranging, table decorations, singing, dancing 💃 and so much more!

Beaufort House residents and staff have truly embraced the Christmas spirit 🎄✨

On Wednesday, we were delighted to welcome residents’ families and friends to join us for our Christmas party. The staff led the entertainment — with fantastic support from our lovely residents!

Our creative book club selected Christmas poems that had the whole room laughing their socks off, and Pavi’s performance was on another level entirely. We also enjoyed carol singing, with everyone joining in to make it a memorable moment 🎅🤶🎶

Guests were treated to wine and soft drinks, and we simply must thank Kelly, our chef, for the magnificent hot and cold buffet. A big thank you also to Emma, Rachel and Anna for all their help.

Massive thanks to everyone who came along to celebrate with us.

On Saturday, Rachel opened the doors of Beaufort House for our Christmas Craft Fair — and what a fantastic success it was! 🎄✨

We had some wonderful craft stalls, including our own, with all proceeds going to the Alzheimer’s Society 💛. Janet sold out of all the dog biscuits we had made, Lucy served teas and coffees with mince pies (which were very popular!), and Debbie ran the raffle again with great success. So far, we’ve raised over £160 for the Alzheimer’s Society!

We’ll continue collecting throughout the week, and don’t forget Elf Day on Friday 🎅. Beautiful Alzheimer’s flower pins are also available for just £2 at reception.

A huge thank you to everyone who came along, and especially to Rachel and Julie for arranging the event, Debbie and Lucy for their hard work, and all the staff on duty.

A great start to our wonderful celebrations for a very special lady.

Last Wednesday, we took her out to see all the beautiful Christmas decorations. we all had a great time. Then, on Friday, Natasha arranged a bride to be party. The whole house got involved and really enjoyed themselves. We hope she has a wonderful time home with the family and a fantastic wedding day.

🎄 Join Us for Our Christmas Fair! 🎄

We’re excited to welcome you to our festive Christmas Fair on Saturday 29th November in aid of the Alzheimer's Society.

Come along and enjoy a wonderful selection of local stalls including one hosted by our residents - perfect for finding unique gifts and seasonal treats.

There will also be plenty of mince pies, along with tea and coffee to keep you cosy as you browse.

✨ It’s the perfect way to get into the festive spirit - we’d love to see you there! ✨

We held our Remembrance service at Beaufort House yesterday, giving our residents the opportunity to place a poppy cross in our Remembrance Garden. The service began with Holy Communion and ended in the garden, where everyone took a quiet moment to reflect.

We are very grateful to our vicar, Steve Bennett, for fitting us into his busy schedule, and we would like to take this opportunity to thank him. 🌸

We’ve also been busy practising our dog biscuit making for our Christmas craft sale on Saturday 29th November.
