Earlier in the week the residents enjoyed making their own Christmas wreaths with one of our new activities coordinators.
They are now hanging on everyone’s doors.

Wow! What a fabulous Xmas Bazaar.It was lovely to see so many friends ,family ,staff past and present.Everyone had a great time as you can see ,and there was a magical atmosphere in the air.I have to say a huge thank you to everyone that helped and supported us,we managed to raise over £300.00 Thank you so much it means so much.🥰

This Saturday Nov 22nd we have our annual Xmas Bazaar.It would be lovely to see friends ,family from past and present.It will be a cash only event so why not come along and join us.

This afternoon residents have been making buttercup cakes and decorating biscuits.

On Friday we had our annual fish and chip supper whilst watching the carnival.As you can see residents and some of their family joined us and it went down well.

Last week we went back to our childhood and did some toy and game reminiscence.

How many things can you remember?

Some of the toys that we had years ago are no longer politically correct hence the smiley face but our residents did enjoy talking about them and the positive moves forward society has made.

On Monday residents enjoyed one of their favourite activities,bingo.On Tuesday we did some drumming exercise and then we finished the afternoon with some autumnal craft.This morning we started with knit and natter and then did some Tai Chi and arm chair yoga.The staff did the downward dog position but unfortunately we didn’t get this on camera😂.As with all physical activities we only do what is safe for the residents, and this wouldn’t have been easy,however the residents did have a good laugh at us trying to do it.

This afternoon we have had lots of giggles with hand bell ringing.We adapt our activities to suit everyone’s needs,which will explain the tapping of knees to help.😀 We’ve been told they don’t think we will get an album deal yet…. Also don’t think we’re ready to entertain others in their home,although I think it would bring a lot of smiles to everyone faces😀.🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣Kandy one of our new activity coordinators, is fitting in well as you can see.🤣

Yesterday residents enjoyed a game of bingo.Today we have had an afternoon of sea shanty songs from The Beach’d Buoys.They raise funds for the Weston children’s hospice.Residents had a great time ,and as you can see they got into the spirit of things.
