Wishing all our friends and families a very Happy Easter from everyone here at KCH 🐣🌸

Easter is a special time of the year that celebrates hope, renewal, and new beginnings - a lovely reminder of the joy that brighter days can bring.

Each of our residents were thrilled today to be treated to Easter eggs, which brought plenty of smiles all around 🍫💛

Yesterday afternoon, we had the absolute pleasure of welcoming Nicola to KCH for the very first time! 🎶✨

She treated us all to some beautiful songs that truly lifted everyone’s spirits, and to make it even more special, she brought along her bunny ears to get us all into the Easter spirit! 🐰🐣

Thank you, Nicola, for such a lovely afternoon - we can’t wait to have you back again soon 💛

This afternoon at KCH, we had the pleasure of welcoming Reverend Sharon to lead a lovely Easter service for our residents. 🐣🌷

We enjoyed singing some beautiful Easter hymns together, bringing a wonderful sense of togetherness to the home.
The visit was perfectly rounded off with a cup of tea and some delicious homemade Easter biscuits. ☕️🍪

A big thank you to Reverend Sharon for such a special visit - it truly made the day memorable for everyone. 💛

We made the most of the lovely weather this afternoon here at KCH 🌸☀️

Some of our residents enjoyed gentle garden walks, taking in the beautiful flowers that have started to bloom.
It was so nice to feel the sunshine on our faces and spend time outdoors together. 💛

This morning at KCH, we had the absolute pleasure of welcoming back Berrow school. 🐣🎶

Their visit truly filled our home with joy as they sang a selection of beautiful Easter songs for everyone to enjoy. The smiles across our residents faces said it all!

The children also brought along some lovely Easter arts and crafts, and it was wonderful to see our residents getting involved and sharing such special moments together.

Thank you to the children and staff from Berrow School for bringing so much happiness into our home today - we can’t wait to welcome you back again soon 💛

Today we celebrated a truly incredible milestone at KCH - Mrs L’s 108th birthday! 🎉🥳🎂

What a wonderful day it has been. Mrs L spent special time with her family and was surrounded by lots of lovely cards, chocolates, and beautiful flowers.

This afternoon, we were delighted to welcome Maria, who filled our home with gorgeous music in honour of Mrs L’s birthday. 🎵🎶 The atmosphere was full of joy, warmth, and celebration.

A truly special day for a truly special lady. Happy 108th Birthday Mrs L! 💐

This afternoon at KCH, we warmed up our singing voices, and enjoyed a wonderful sing-along together. 🎵

We revisited some old classic songs, bringing back cherished memories and plenty of smiles. It was a lovely afternoon filled with music, laughter, and joy - a truly special time shared by all 🧡

Moments like these remind us how powerful music can be in bringing everyone together. ✨

🎶 Yesterday afternoon at KCH, we had the pleasure of welcoming Andrew to our home for the very first time! 🎶

He filled the afternoon with beautiful folk songs, playing his guitar wonderfully and creating such a warm, uplifting atomsphere throughout the home.
It was lovely to see so many residents come down, enjoy the music, and spend time together socially.

Afterwards, everyone enjoyed a relaxed natter with Andrew over a cup of tea ☕️ - a perfect way to round off such a special visit.

A perfect afternoon that brought smiles all around 🧡

🍀Yesterday we had a wonderful time decorating the home for St Patrick’s Day.🍀

After lunch, we even enjoyed a cheeky Irish cream coffee together 😋☕️ - the perfect way to celebrate!

🔔✨ Yesterday morning at KCH we gave hand bell ringing a go. 🔔✨

It turned out to be a very popular activity! There was lots of concentration as everyone worked together to ring their bells at the right time, and we had some great fun trying to guess which songs were being played.

There was plenty of laughs along the way ( some of us were crying with laughter!) and it was wonderful to see everyone getting involved and enjoying themselves.

We don’t think we’re quite ready to start our own choir just yet 🤭😂 but as they say “practice makes perfect” 😜

We’ll definitely be adding this activity more regularly!

We’ve been absolutely loving our exercise sessions with Becky every Tuesday and Thursday here at KCH! 💪✨

Over the past 9 weeks we’ve already noticed such a difference in our stamina, balance and coordination - it’s amazing what abit of movement and determination can do. These sessions are helping us become more mobile, build strength and stay as independent as possible, which is so important for our health and well-being.

It’s been lovely to see everyone’s hard work paying off. Week by week we’re getting stronger, steadier and more confident.

Someone once said “ exercise is a celebration of what your body can do” …… although sometimes our legs say otherwise the next morning 🦵😂

Well done everyone for giving it your all - keep up the fantastic work! 👏🧡

We were thrilled to welcome Graham back to KCH yesterday afternoon! 🎸

He brought along his trusty guitar and treated us to a wonderful afternoon of music. Our residents loved singing along to all their favourite songs, filling the home with smiles, and plenty of great memories.

It was truly an afternoon well spent, and were already looking forward to the next visit! 🎶😊
