✨🇬🇧 Yesterday at KCH, we had a truly special morning celebrating a milestone we’re incredibly proud of - achieving our Veteran Friendly status! 🇬🇧✨

We marked the occasion by hosting our own military coffee and cake morning, where we were joined by the local mayor and Lyndsay ( armed forces link worker from ARK). Both of whose support helped make the occasion even more meaningful and truly sealed this special achievement for us.

We enjoyed cups of tea and coffee alongside delicious homemade cakes. The room was filled with the sounds of the 1940s music, bringing back wonderful memories and creating a warm, nostalgic atmosphere for everyone to enjoy. 🍰☕️

Residents, staff and guests shared plenty of smiles, stories, and laughter through out the morning. We also held a mini raffle which added to the fun of the celebration!

Future coffee and cake mornings are being organised, and looking into the future we are aiming to organise days to other military events.

We also wanted to say a huge heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined us yesterday and helped make the day so memorable!

Here’s to plenty more coffee and cake mornings to come! 💙

Yesterday we had the pleasure of welcoming clothes 4 you to KCH!👗🛍

It truly felt an indoor market brought right to our doorstep! Our residents enjoyed browsing the wide selection, and there were plenty of lovely purchases made throughout the afternoon.

We had a wonderful time at KCH this weekend enjoying a firm favourite - bingo! 🎉

There was plenty of laughter, a bit of friendly competition, and lots of happy faces all around. Bingo is always a hit here, not just for the fun of the game, but because it brings everyone together. It’s a lovely social activity that encourages conversation, connection, and shared moments.

We’re already looking forward to the next round! 💛

✨This afternoon at KCH, we were delighted to welcome the wonderful Serendipity Choir back to our home.✨

It was a truly lovely afternoon, filled with familiar songs that everyone could sing along to. The room was full of smiles, and the joy that music so easily brings. Seeing our residents engaged, singing, and enjoying the moment together made it a very special visit. 🎶🎵

Music and live entertainment play such an important role in enriching the lives of our residents. They can spark cherished memories, encourage social connections, and uplift mood and wellbeing. Moments like these help create a warm, vibrant environment where everyone feels included and inspired.

Yesterday morning at KCH, we enjoyed another fantastic exercise session 💪

These weekly sessions are becoming more and more popular, and it’s wonderful to see so many residents getting involved and taking part. We like to keep things fun by incorporating games into our routines - ring toss has been a big hit!

It’s been amazing to see the benefits of regular exercise, with many of us feeling stronger and noticing improvements in balance and movement each week.

We’re already looking forward to the next session! 😊

This morning at KCH, we had the pleasure of welcoming our lovely volunteer Hazel 📰🗞✨

Hazel spent time with our residents reading through the local newspaper, which was especially meaningful for those living with vision loss. Having someone to read the news aloud helps everyone stay connected to the world around them and feel included in everyday conversations.

To round off the morning, Hazel got everyone’s brain power going with a fun crossword session - lots of teamwork, and great thinking all around! 🧠💬

Wishing all our friends and families a very Happy Easter from everyone here at KCH 🐣🌸

Easter is a special time of the year that celebrates hope, renewal, and new beginnings - a lovely reminder of the joy that brighter days can bring.

Each of our residents were thrilled today to be treated to Easter eggs, which brought plenty of smiles all around 🍫💛

Yesterday afternoon, we had the absolute pleasure of welcoming Nicola to KCH for the very first time! 🎶✨

She treated us all to some beautiful songs that truly lifted everyone’s spirits, and to make it even more special, she brought along her bunny ears to get us all into the Easter spirit! 🐰🐣

Thank you, Nicola, for such a lovely afternoon - we can’t wait to have you back again soon 💛

This afternoon at KCH, we had the pleasure of welcoming Reverend Sharon to lead a lovely Easter service for our residents. 🐣🌷

We enjoyed singing some beautiful Easter hymns together, bringing a wonderful sense of togetherness to the home.
The visit was perfectly rounded off with a cup of tea and some delicious homemade Easter biscuits. ☕️🍪

A big thank you to Reverend Sharon for such a special visit - it truly made the day memorable for everyone. 💛

We made the most of the lovely weather this afternoon here at KCH 🌸☀️

Some of our residents enjoyed gentle garden walks, taking in the beautiful flowers that have started to bloom.
It was so nice to feel the sunshine on our faces and spend time outdoors together. 💛
