Yesterday was the International day of the Midwife, but like a lot of babies who don’t stick to their given dates, we decided today was a better day, so ward trimmed up, and support from the Recruitment and Retention lead Rachel Thorpe and our amazing International Midwives, we celebrated. If you have watched them or would like to watch them, then either message or leave an honest comment about them I would be very grateful. All parents should be given a bedside thermometer and a safer sleeping teddy, both have lots of information regarding ideal temperatures and how to ensure your baby is safe while sleeping. If you’re going home early following birth or join us for a stay on the ward, please make sure you have yours.

Our grab bag, assisted its first out of hospital birth last week and our colleagues now have bag envy, do any local businesses want to supply our other areas with a bright bag for simple birth equipment. I need 3 please.
